Listing directory is for long term. Digg might help you today but not tomorrow. Have them both is best.
I agree. Digg may bring you some traffic and help you today, but you will quickly fall back in the page..both is best for better results
Digg is short term, but you still have your link in their site.. it helps with you PR somewhat (digg.com has a PR of 8). Anyways, it wouldn't hurt to post in both of them because.. atleast digg is free.
It aint like which is the best, i think both should be used but cleverly. I dont think directories will get you any traffic, if it did, it would be pretty less, but u will get lots backlink, whereas if you submit on digg you will get a backlink from a PR-8 website and traffic, but if you will try to spam digg, chances are u mite get banned there(just heard of it, not sure if any url did get banned there). Also if you submit an article like "digg or directory" on both the place and do a google search, chances are u will get a better position than digg. My suggestion will be to keep submitting to directories, post only unique content on digg (morning between 9-10:30 and evening 6-7 onwards as this is the time when most people are online on digg, its my wild guess, can be wrong). When posting on digg, try to use max. most searched common words.
Yup! I agree with everyone... If you have time, do both... But before you do that... I recommend spend more time on getting quality links, links that actually brings you traffic.
One thing I hate about free directories is a lot of the ones that give you options for "free link" and "free link with reciprocal" are misleading. If you select the "free link" option you will usually get a link with the evil "nofollow" tag attached.
if you forget you will reach at stone age , you have to update your site everey day with new service or new products, digg will give you today traffic and tomorrow traffic from their PR 8 , yes you can forget after post at digg, at least 50 different category pages its better than directory listing i think so.
