Need ideas for a logo

I need some ideas for main logo of my forum http://www.nameslot.com

I think it is not matching the type of my forum. And I am not so good at graphics so please give me some ideas.

Iv made my site in 50 minutes...
and I didnt spend a lot of time in it cuz I had other things to do(design for other people duh)

and your logo sux rofl you call that a good logo? lol what have you done there? took the shape tool made a shape and written "Nameslot" in blue color in arial font? lol go get some tutorials before you speak
and my portfolio isnt updated I need to upload new works but I dont have time
cuz unlike you I dont have a lot of spare time

I am seriously looking for people who are really good for designing. I have never mentioned I will not pay them. I want to see what they can do. And from your work it proves you cannot do better then me. So it is just a way of business that I will not hire you so don't worry and keep working elsewhere, there is nothing to get angry about it.

firstly - its not Arial (notice the serif's?!?!)

secondly, the logo really isnt that bad - in fact i actually quite like it. I guess if I was to criticise, it would be that the font does tend to make it look very generic... maybe consider changing the font, or even just putting the slogan (Domain Name Playground) in italics to break it up a little more.

Really though, you shouldnt be too upset with how it looks now - there truly are ALOT worse out there online currently (ie. the abomination happening on influ's site )

anyway...back to your problem

this certainly isnt a fantastic solution - but just an example of how simply changing the fonts can have a big effect to the overall design...IMO anyway.





hopefully that can give you some inspiration if you do intend on changing it in the future

 

I dunno much about designing n all so i cant help much, but i can let my imagination run wild .


Y dont u try, something like ground (inclined) with you words written on it and something running on it like a football playa.

 

I agree with United if you like your logo mark, try changing your font to something a little more modern and sans serif.

Also depending on how you emphasize your name you could try using dual colors to emphasize the meaning of the name. NameSlot or NamesLot. The single color makes it a bit ambiguous.

 

Your icons doesn't match well at all, far too different IMHO. They should show the same kind of design.
Just wanted to add that "good" or "ugly" only reflects one's opinion. No use in arguing about that...

well feel free to use it if you like i have no problem with that - besides i couldnt get attached to work that only took me 5mins to do anyway

but like i said - your whole site is really looking quite nice as it is... so my best advice is keeping it simple and clean most of all
