Just recently there has been a lot of recurring speculation as to whether the Americans actually went to the moon. Was this a highly elaborate hoax or did the United States send a Rocket to the Moon? With the Space Shuttle again in the limelight due to one of their Astronaut Capt Lisa Nowak, who drove over 900 miles and donned a disguise to confront a woman she believed was her rival for the affections of a space shuttle pilot. She was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping and other counts. Some of the most prominent advocates of the hoax theory are Bill Kaysing, author of We Never Went To The Moon, Ralph Rene, author of NASA Mooned America, David Percy and Mary Bennett, co-authors of Dark Moon: Apollo and the Whistle Blowers and, more recently, Bart Sibrel, producer of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Moon. These people, and other hoax advocates, usually point to alleged anomalies in the Apollo photo and video record as evidence of their claims. But in your own mind and the evidence that you have seen over the years what is your own opinion? Personally I don’t think that there is any doubt that the actual event of leaving earths orbit and landing on the moons surface by the Apollo missions did indeed actually take place. Kind Regards
well, the original video has been lost inside of nasa, that to me is proof enough. How do you lose the original footage of something that is supposed to be one of if not the greatest achievement of mankind. the real question isn't if the first moon landing is a fraud, that debate is pretty settled, the question is are any of the moon landings legitimate??
You know i was just thinking about this topic the other day. I think it's fake. If they sent someone to the moon then how come noone has been sent to the moon since?
I read about that back in the year 2002 I think. They really landed in the moon. The fact is simple. If that a hoax, why the soviet keep silent? I think soviet at that time already have radars or maybe satellite which can track and monitor where the apollo go.
4/5 Tim's beleive that people who believe it was a hoax will also argue that professional wrestling is real.
I watched some special about this on the history channel or something like that. There are too many things that werent possible for it to have actually happened.
this has got to be the dumbest debate ever....we went to the moon in 1969, end of story http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yufR9m2h-EA PS - Santa Claus doesnt exist
What Happened on the Moon - 1 of 2 What Happened on the Moon - 2 of 2 Did we really land Men on the Moon?
The "benefit" would have been back in those days it was still in the "cold war" days, who ever got into space and to the moon, other super power country would think that they can be fired upon from space and etc... It could have been fake for the first landing, but I'm sure its been done for real since
Some of the original videos that nasa have, if you place them on top of eachother, all you see is the lander is on a different spot, whereas they claim its a different day and new mission altogether. I loved space and was interested in it a lot as a child (Hey I went to space camp when I was 9 ), but always have believed it was a hoax.
when they first aired that show on tv debunking the moon landing, and they gave pretty hard evidence, i went soft in the knees and just felt eerie at how the world can be so sinisterly deceiving. hoax or no hoax, id like to believe there have been men on the moon. or still is/are
This was posted before, I can't remember by who, but think about this: When America landed on the Moon the race to the Moon with the Russians was a big political thing and a part of the Cold War. If it was a hoax the Russians would have pointed it out and spent a lot of resources proving it with an agenda to expose it as a hoax, not to make money selling books. Even the Russians conceded that America beat them to the Moon and those publishing these books and crap are just making money off people that'll buy into it.
We landed on the moon plain and simple. Shadow offsets are caused by the camera used as well as the surface structures of the moon. Look at our landings on Mars and probe that landed on Titan. You'll see similar image anomalies to what people call "the moon image debate". http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/space/01/14/huygens.titan/index.html
