how to get alexa ranking higher?

I want to get my alexa ranking higher....

what's the best way to do that?

should I advertise the alexa toolbar or what do you think would be a good way to get it higher?

 

it should naturally get higher as you get more visitors. But you can also tell your visitors to get the Alexa toolbar as it will help increase the amount of visitors who use it.

Or you can just get a few people to use the toolbar and view your site everyday.

Well, rather than cheating Alexa... has anybody tried to research on where the Bots of Alexa and Majority of Alexa Toolbar users are located?

 

You can join an non-investment autosurf program. I actually run one. Simply add your site and earn credits! You will receive tons of traffic and increase your alexa ranking 10 fold!

 

First white hat solution is to use a forum.
To power it, use this second solution:
Your board should be a webmaster forum.
They are using alexa.
Third solution: Add a siggy and change it very often.

I'm not trying to arbitrarily gain a higher alexa rank for a random site. The site is already made and it's not a webmaster forum, so that's out of the question.

Not sure what your intentions are but just add your site to automatic autosurf programs and let it run in the background. (Don't do this if you have Adsense on your site though as this is a sure-fire way to lose your account).

Alexa Traffic is increased when you increase your visitors who uses the alexa toolbar. (Which is just available for EI)

Firefox has a feature called "Search Status" that will run in the lower portion of your window that reports to Alexa. The widget does not need your vistors to have an Alexa Toolbar installed. Read the aritcle in my other post for more info

 

I got my websites rank alot higher by making it SEO friendly, and of course it went up rank on google etc. Meaning more visitors, meaning better Alexa rank.

 

install alexa toolbar at your IE browser and visit your website very often. Then you will notice every other day your alexa ranking is going up..

 

I can't believe all these suggestions are real... Stay away from each and everyone out there, especially cheating alexa, buying traffic etc.

First of all you don`t need to increase your Alexa...
FireFox extension like SearchStatus adn Alexa toolbar only submit data to Alexa when you visit the site with fresh Alexa cookies.

but in any case if you really want to increase it, install an Alexa Site Widget (http://www.alexa.com/site/site_stats/signup). Atleast it will send alexa the data everytime some one visits your site.

It will not increase your Alexa 10 folds, but atleast 20-25% surely.
