Hey guys This is my first time I'm giving a go at a directory. Mine is now 2 days old, is it normal to get 126 links submitted the first day and 476 the second? Just curious to know if this is normal, as the links are still coming by the minute and I suspect that there will be more than 500 submissions on day 2 only!
it's normal, but it doesn't mean you have 200/500 visitors submitting in one day, one submitter might have 20 or more sites that he will submit to.
Congratulations on the apparent success of your new site! My only suggestion would be to make sure that in your excitement you maintain and enforce whatever policies you have regarding site being submitted. I doubt people will get too cranky if it takes you some time to wade through all of the submissions as long as they see steady movement on the Newly Listed page if you have one.
If you populate your directory on DP, don't be afraid if you get 1000 - 1200 submissions within the first week
Wow, thats a lot of submissions. How you guys can handle it, isn't taking a lot of time to review and checking it one by one. Why don't you guys run paid directory from start, is there any benefit running free general directory ?
There is lot of directory submission services if you got more link on your site its normal there is nothing wrong . You must review these link one by one and approve them carefully. traffic on your site means your directory is so good ..
