Wrestling is scripted, not fake. Mike Foley's mom used to think it was fake too, until she visited him in the hospital. Anyone wonder where Mark Henry is? Out with injury sustained during a match. Where was the "rabid wolverine" for the last eight months (until recently)? Out with injury sustained in match. Why was Batista out for almost a year? Injury.

Doesn't have to be a "one or the other." I've watched wrestling since I was four years old, back in the days of Bruiser Brody and Wahoo McDaniels. I watch the WWE and UFC religiously. Both are great.

    Indeed.
That WWF stuff is lame, always has been. UFC is going to be the new boxing soon. It's really picking up steam.

    UFC FTW!

    Well here is the thing.

WWE is "Entertainment" and everything is staged, the storylines are written by professional writers and the fight you see in the ring is the result of years of practice.

Have you ever seen how easily a wrestler goes up when the other guy is "chokeslamming" him, or when the other guy is doing some move where a lift is required?

They all learn this stuff in the wrestling academies, to go up when required, to respond to moves, to fall when the other guy gives you a clothesline. These wrestlers are also taught moves in those wrestling schools.

Now sometimes, things go wrong and these wrestlers sustain some REAL injuries, like Paul Levesque (Triple H) broke a hamstring twice, Joey Mercury got his face fucked up etc. But those are just screwups... they were attempting to do something but didn't quite do it perfectly, resulting in an injury.

Those people you see in the ring are not REAL wrestlers, they are just actors and performers, they go on top of rings, jump around, lift other people, perform fancy moves etc. Now if you watch closely, when they are seemingly "punching" the other wrestler, the sound is generated by them thumping the floor with one leg and there is no ACTUAL hitting involved there.

The "blood" you see on the screen is REAL blood no doubt about that, but do you know where it comes from? Usually when a wrestler is thrown out of the ring or is down, they slit their forehead with a blade which draws the blood. It is NOT the result of fighting or getting hit. This is called a "Crimson Job"

I'll clarify more later but guys, its not real, its scripted and its entertainment, if you want to see some REAL wrestling, go watch UFC, or Boxing or hell go to the local Akhada (in India) and watch some Kushti for the hell of it.
