Well it's not great, but it's also not awful. :) I'd say it's average. My sites used to be in the 700,000 area, but have really fell since this boom of blogs, web2.0 and social sites have all started cropping up. :)

Alexa really depends on people who uses their toolbar so even if your site was receiving so many visitors, Alexa may be wrong at times. This other site receives more traffic than me and yet I still have a higher Alexa rank than theirs.

It's not the ranking that counts, it's how much actual traffic you get -- and how that traffic makes you money.

Alexa isn't really something that reflects the real rank of your site. Data is collected only from people who has their tool bars installed.

The lower the Alexa the more traffic your site is getting. An Alexa of 1 is better than an Alexa of 1 million.:)

The problem with Alexa is, as Joe mentioned, that the data is collected only from people who have Alexa toolbars. So if your main audience consists of people who have never heard of Alexa in their life, then you get the rest right...

As has already been mentioned, Alexa ranking is essentially pointless.

I totally agree with other members. Alexa ranking is not at all reliable. I am running 11 websites and 3 out of 11 are close to 200000 and others are near 500000-700000 but none of them are getting any traffic. So dont blv in alexa ranking... use google analystics or histats to know the real visitor:)

The Lower the Alexa ranking the better if you check Googles Alexa rank you'll see its 1 so at 2,785,353 you've got a long way to go.

It does all depend on type of visitors though internet marketing sites etc have low rankings because they're readers usually have the tool bar, you can redirect visitors to your site via forums etc using a url from alexa this will really improve your alexa stats

    Hi Incorporating,
Alexa have nothing to do with Google :)

You might want to refer questions regard Alexa to the Search Engines Forum

Of course you have to consider the amount of bounce rate that you are getting.. The less amount of bounce rate that you are getting the better..

Alexa is inaccurate. My highest ranked site on Alexa is the one that gets the least traffic. If you have an older customer base, you will rank higher.

Alexa is not accurate. The rankings from Quantcast.com and Compete.com offers some more accurate results. Their not perfect either but more accurate.

I agree with Alexa not being accurate. I have one blog that is in the 700,000 and it gets about 1,200 uniques a day, and I have another blog that is in that is in the 600,000 that barely gets 20 uniques a day. Alexa is pretty much only good for selling your site, like pagerank.
