LOL but google do not ban anyone without reason You must have done something wrong and against the TOS
The $140 will almost get you one hour with a lawyer, remember you have to sue them in CA also. Get a Publisher Account and don't mislead visitors into clicking something they don't want, you will never build a forum that way.
but they should have warned me before completely disabling my account. I even disabled ads for my account just to make sure that I don't click on them accidentally yet they still banned me.
They banned you because you violated their TOS with the hack you used. And since the hack did not install itself and you knew very well what it was good for, i.e., increase CTR by confusing visitors to think that they are clicking on a forum thread, they did not bother with giving you a warning. I would have done the same if I was them. Move on, already!
Not exactly I hack, I'm sure it's some sort of plugin that auto makes a fake user post the ads in a thread. Maybe something similar to DP's. I honestly doubt that'd be an issue. Tex, try Yahoo publisher, as someone mentioned. Anything but clicksor is decent.
You're going to spend tens of thousands of dollars in legal bills to sue them for $140? Mind you when you lose they'll seek costs. So you'll be paying your legal bill AND theirs.
i just wanted to point out that this very forum does the same thing... so is DP violating Google's TOS now?
I feel sorry for ya man. I really hate google too, but it's the best way to make money online so far. Good luck with whatever you do
The OP's post that i pointed out states that his hack/plugin made ads appear as forum threads. DP does not do this - DP displays the ads in an appropriate place, far from the forum threads. There is a huge difference..
Where you but the ads are not a problem. For one of my forums I have the ads within the first post (as the writer wrote it), but it is clearly labeled "sponsor ads" within a legend. Peace,
140 isnt much to lose. move on to other things. i understand you being upset but google just doesn't ban people for fun.
Yeah, I agree, it's not worth it trying to sue Google. If it were more money, maybe, but $140 is not much at all. Sure, it hurts, but if you were violating their rules, what did you expect? No offense. One of my saying is that you can't get away with doing wrong forever...
