Bought an article script trusting his ever so rep he worked so hard to build .this is a case when someone gets rep they get lazy and feel that their rep will hold them to the end. I tested the demo and it was working fine .paid $45.00 USD and he sent me the script, I had no clue I how to install the script so I asked him to upload the script and paid him an extra $25.00 USD and the script failed to function. mind you I had made this purchase on Jan 12th ,2007 it is not Feb 10th,07 and I still have no working script which he had made several promises to fix over msn and gmail I also have been more then patient but after days of him dodging the bullet I had opened a dispute in paypal to resolve the issue by refund he had the nerve to say the script is working fine and he will not issue a refund he even when to the extent of posting my "ggod"itrader that i sent him after testing the demo please live up to that rep you got there nice working demo 2 oh yearh and video tut was nice to , to bad it doesn’t teach me how to program so I can fix the areas that have bugs

her is the so-call working script click here

browse all media not working, and submit article not working this is not including all the bugs i found in the admin panel"we discussed this already"

    Hello -

Everything was working when I installed it,

If you like, I will re install it for you and make sure it all works, I can tell you now, that I will not be issuing you a refund,

So your best bet is to respond to me by pm, send me the ftp / db details again and I will fix whatever you feel is not working.

This will be my last public response to you , as I feel this should be handled professionally via pm or email not on a public forum.

This is why you should have a contract which specifies, amongst other things, an expected completion date, who owns what in the event of a dispute, and sometimes even a kill fee. It's also why you shouldn't sell your services too cheaply, and $45 for what Sundaybrew was offering is just insane.

Yeah it was $45 plus $25.00 to upload it. You naturally just think you will deal with good people not pretentious. Its not what i feel isnt working it is what not working. I have told you this over msn and you yourself said you seen the errors and will work one them

if it was working fine with you it would have worked for me too and when i alerted you of the errors you would have insisted that it worked instead of quily saying that you would have fixed it which you have failed to do

Sounds to me like the guy has too much on his plate.

He needs to step back, take a deep breath and sort outstanding issues out, and then take on new jobs but include a deadline for each client.

That is my advice. If he follows that he cannot go wrong. :)

Problem is he has no intention of completing the work he has already taken on. I got lucky and he only needs to complete part of one site for me, which I have given up on. The time I've lost is worth a lot more than the actual dollars here.

I have spoken to other people who he either owes a lot of sites to or hundreds of dollars depending on which way you look at it. As soon as I went public in this thread and also gave him a negative iTrader, he gave me a negative iTrader back and negative rep in this thread.

Sounds to me that the guy needs a kick up the arse by the Mods then mate. IMHO.

He needs to catch up on outstanding work before taking more money for future work, that is the only way to do it, and more importantly it is the correct way to do it.

This issue needs sorting but all people like me and you can do is offer advice, it's down to the Mods to get on top of the guy if he is not delivering what he has promised.

Don't worry too much about negative rep mate, I get it all the time in the P&R forum from all the dumb sheeple in there. It means nothing.

edit: fryman posted before I finished typing, I was responding to AGS below.

I don't think the mods can really do anything, DP is not responsible to ensure that he provides the service that he has accepted money for.

Based on communication I've had from him, he clearly does not care about the correct way to do things. As far as I am concerned now, he is just another internet scammer who steals people's money.

The negative rep from him didn't bother me at all, it just made me laugh at him even more.

Of course. But if he is using this DP forum to ply his trade and not completing what he is being paid for then it is up to the Mods/Admins here to remove, or warn him.

The internet is a very big place and I hear a lot of stories about people scamming people, it's not good mate.

I think personally the dude needs to stop taking more payments, get his house in order then come back again, but I'm only a mere member, even though I have admined forums for over 10 years now. :)

Thank you for the good luck. We all try to be trustworthy people around here and help each other out; we trade and buy things from each other. Without this some of us would be looking for a job. I have gave him $45.00 plus $25.00 in his pocket in hopes that I can now turn that around and put money in my pocket and then maybe buy something else I may need or maybe even sell something some dont see it that way

Very true the thing is this was suppossed to be a completed script and something else upon purchased was supossed to be added to this script we havent even got that far because of all the errors

    approach with caution

Its very true in paypal he put the fact that I had given him a positve itrader but missed the fact that this thread was in existence and from the looks of it had posted in it before the disputer was opened

Another good point! I see that I am not the only one. At the time of my experience there have already been numerous posts about this. Please look at this thread its not just one memeber acting out here

Well something needs to be done then.

This is one of the biggest and most respected webmaster forums in the world, if it is proven that the dude is not delivering he needs a size 9 up the arse.

I know I may sound abrupt but in the last 8 months 3 people have tried to scam me and my partner bonzer, the biggest was for $1,900, we have prevailed every single time. ;)

I take it pretty personally mate and always try and offer good sound help and advice. :)

It's amazing to see so many member's that have been screwed from this guy. I was thinking of how other users could be warned because goodman0000 could have saved his money if he had known of this thread so I thought it would be a good idea if you had been scammed to link to this thread in your sig... That would be a great way to warn others of what you have gone through.

I do to but he has had chances to make his customers happy with a refund which is simple enough and refuses them in the thread and from what all these clients have been saying they have given more then a second chance months ago and when things like the post below are said I just think thats a horrible way to conduct business.
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2278698&postcount=18

I just know that If client asked me for a refund and they were unhappy they would have it no questions asked. It's just good business, at least I think it is.

on its getting personal. I paid quick to. and now its Feb Feb 11th ,06

its very true I have been very understanding and its a surprise to see how
how this is turning out ,outright refusing to refund my $$ after weeks of promising to deliver I have nothing right now just a domain and hosting that I paid for to host the site

me to but there is a time when enough is enough and now is that time. Just look at the problems in this thread

Hopefully you paid through paypal . if so open a dispute and escalate this dispute to a claim with PayPal
