hello every one i think adwords is costing so much to sell, costing much for make money keywords also,it can cost $0.05 per click and keywords will be active, but our ads will appear in google page 15 or more, the more you pay the best you show,i tried $1 per click, and i saw my ad in page 9,this is really bad,i notice some ads always appear in all pages,do they pay more than 2$ per click? i use all type of keywords and this after reading more than 5 books about adwords! what do you think? how to solve this problem and be listed in first page for low cost per click
Hi Seleno, If you're seeing high bid prices/low ad positions, it means the keywords you're targetting are way too general. For instance, using "free MP3 Downloads" as a keyword would be horrible, because it's not targetted towards anyone. However, if you using something far more targetted like "<song artist><song title> mp3 download", you'd be able to attract ONLY an audience interested in that particular song by that particular artist, thus lowering both ad prices and ad positions. Some of my ads are #1 and #2, and I pay only 5-15 cents per click because they are super super targetted. It's all about the audience. Target a super super specific audience, and you'll get great ad positioning and ad rates. -T
First delete all your general keywords. specifically select a keyword which suits for your auidence so that you can cut your cost and you can reap benefit
Another factor for having low bids is the google quality score. You must always keep it in mind, make sure your google quality score is high.
adwords in general have become very very costly. Almost every internet advertiser is using adwords and there are millions of them. Best is to use as specific a keyword as possible than general ones since they just cost like crazy right now. I face similar problems like you as well infact.
thanx every one we can change some keywords but will not get clicks as this costy! i'm trying yahoo search marketing, but adwords is better really
Try to make relevance of your keyword, ad text and text on landing page which may help in lowering your bid
i did every things they can be for $0.05 and $0.10 but the problem your add will not show good,so pay much to get good av position
Showing "good" can be quite relative, though. For some keywords, you'll never get clicks if you're below position 4, while others you'll make sales if you're above position 4. It really depends on the market. But ultimately the thing with adwords is not just to find cheap keywords, it's to find keywords that convert well. If I had my choice between 50 general keywords that cost 10 cents a piece and convert at 1:100 or 3 super targetted keywords that cost 30 cents each and convert at 1:25, guess which one makes more sense? Ultimately, work on finding out what buyers expect when they view your ad & come to your site. Then make sure your page sells/converts. Then, you can start adding extra keywords into your campaign to see if they convert or not. -T
Well - that may bring you some sales, but if you are indeed including very many words that are not "buying" keywords, I'm concerned that you're going to wind up with a lot of extra clicks for no return. For instance, one would think the "Learn Tuba" keyword would be really great to have if you're advertising something like a "how to play Tuba" ebook, no? Not really, for instance, as these kinds of people are really just looking for basic information or a free course - not interesting in actually buying the product. -T
well, as i see here we r handling in the same problems... i m an affilate but the competition is very high, and bid can cost you 35 cents at least. i m really doing my best (well, never enough) and find many times that google doesnt even show my ads for some keywords , mean they want me to raise up the bids, and its becoming really expensive. since i have more than 50 campaigns i thought of pausing campaings wich the ctr is low and wait that the entire ctr will be higher, any opinon? thanx shrek
