The importance of changing your passwords and having all them different will be proven by my story. Started 2 days ago. I was having a lot of hosting problems with my last host as his server was always down. So i decided to switch to a better and more reliable host. That is where my problems started. It appeared that my old host was very angry at this. He went on a rampage and hacked EVERYTHING that i own on the web that is important. The only thing i managed to get back was my host account. He hacked my msn, my webhost (2 times), my domain account, soon my other email accounts. I have tried everything i can to recover my websites and get back on track. But it turns out i cant get my domain account back because of some stupid rule that they have that i have to know an pin # which i dont remember ever entering. So after 2 days of pure hell i've decided to give up save what money i can then give up on my websites and try to change as many passwords as possible. I could have easly prevented all this by having a different password on everything and not use the same password for my new host as i used on my old one. If you know of what i could do now to get my domain account back i would try anything. My domains were registered at lowdot.us Thank you for your time. Joecool6101
I'm sorry to have heard that. This is why I only host with people who are well known so I don't run into problems like this.
My host that i had was free and down all the time as well... if only i could get my domains back. anyone know hwo to hack hotmail?
Hotmail accounts CAN NOT be hacked unless you did something stupid like installing spyware/keyloggers/videologgers/viruses or opening a suspicious attachment in your email which had a spyware/virus or sharing/giving away your password. Yahoo accounts CAN NOT be hackedunless you did something stupid like installing spyware/keyloggers/videologgers/viruses or opening a suspicious attachment in your email which had a spyware/virus or sharing/giving away your password. Gmail accounts CAN NOT be hackedunless you did something stupid like installing spyware/keyloggers/videologgers/viruses or opening a suspicious attachment in your email which had a spyware/virus or sharing/giving away your password. Although I took the tip and changed some duplicate passes I had IT
I got different passwords for root, admin, gmail, Godaddy, mySQL, domains, message board accounts....That's the best thing to de before geting hacked!! Make them too hard to bother memorizing!!! For example, for one password, it's in the form of --uHj-_666_-j00_-_gfkj75h-1337-Hh8hg-- (No, that's not my actual password!!! Only a wacko would give out his passwords. Oh, wait... )
thats not completely true - there it something is researche by human - it can be undone/ hacked/cracked - just some times it's not worth the resources you will spend doing it. Althow I'm happy i have different paswords, pasword generator (just to generate them and a list wich is totaly secutred (at a computer wich even don't have USB or LAN.
Even if he had the same bloody password for everything and it was something not easy to guess then there was no chance he was getting hacked or if the common password went in unsafe hands. No it cannot be undone/cracked/hacked. IT
His old host would have access to his password. He would have logged into the hotmail and seen all the confirmation emails for everything he had signed up to. So he had his password, and knowledge of pretty much every site he had access to (didn't get the dp password though...)
I don't!! As a wise man once said...up their.... While I got a few passwords that I do remember that are say six letters, but arn't for anything major. (Think online game sites. That's where I wouldn't bother with -6-_-5-kffji__949iug89fu_99 kind of passwords!!!!)
I have a few nasty programs that I would have used against the MO-FO in your position but having the same password for many accounts is a big no-no trooper.
i once had the same problem ... got a reseller for $2 .. thought it was very good .. cpanel / fantastico .... 2 gb space and 40gb b/w.... Server running good for a month suddenly hacked .. all sites down ... hosts are saying will be bak in 2 days .... those 2 days turned out to be 11 days .... in the meantime i got a RELIABLE hosting by paying more .... and they want me to come bak to them ... . they were like we are more stronger now and we have directadmin .... i m sorry to hear that man... its just like whenever some one gets this problem ... it reminds me of mine ... and i just ..................
