My apologize guys, but when you post something like this, it confusing a lot of people. This is absolutely not right. The only tag that lost his importance is <meta name="keywords"> <tite> - still very important, unless of course you are spaming it with keywords or writing something like <title>Best SEO in the world</title> when your site is about dogs. <meta name="description"> - still very useful. Google, Yahoo and MSN still using it to describe the site in serps (not all cases, but many). The right written good description can increase your CTR by 200% and more compare to description that automatically written by SE from randomly picked phrases from page content. If you like you may not use it. There are some other meta tags that very useful as well.
