Yeah dunno if this is quite how the rep system was meant to work...

 

I was taken one reputation point for asking a simple, polite question, which wasn't liked by who took that point. Does that mean my reputation had to lower? I didn't think so, but I accepted the decision (eventually )

It looks to me that a reputation point is given for a particular post if I like that post. Well, if someone says in that post something that I like (and I like when I get what I want), I am entitled to add 1 point to that post.

If reputation can increase indefinitely, I believe it's not actually represent reputation, but some banking account. I also think reputation must increase if someone offers something to the community and decrease when that person is not polite/ is rude and so on.

I live by the rule “What’s not forbidden it’s permitted”. I didn’t see anywhere that what I do is forbidden (please, correct if I’m wrong).
