eBay.co.uk finally enters the real world

eBay.co.uk is finally going to pay a percentage per sale just like eBay.com does (as of March). Not sure what the 'percentage' will be, but it will surely be better than what they offer at the moment.

Has anyone heard any whispers of eBay.com.au (Australia) doing the same thing in the near future? At the moment, I make a whopping 15 cents per Aussie sale - regardless of the item purchased. It's degrading and insulting, but I just keep on taking it like a b*tch and hope that things will eventually change.

eBay is an advertiser at Commission Junction.

"You will be compensated for traffic you send to eBay.com in two distinct ways: earn between 40% and 65% of eBay's revenue (not item sale price) on ALL Winning Bids or Buy It Nows (BINs) within 7 days of an affiliate action AND up to $22.00 for each active registered user!"

    About time too.

Got the email about it the other day and I'm looking forward to hunting out some UK based niche markets.

No, it's "40% and 65% of eBay's revenue (not item sale price)"

So if someone buy a $100 item, eBay's fee might be $3. You get a percentage of eBay's $3 fee, NOT a percentage of the $100 sale price.

Most of my eBay commissions come from eBay UK so I'm really looking forward to moving away from the 10 pence per sale model over to something akin to the eBay.com model. There have been times when just a few sales from eBay.com have led to much larger total commissions that the many sales I get from the uk. So in my eyes its a really good move.
