Ive managed to get a few sites optimized and they rank well in MSN and Google. However I am unable to rank in Yahoo. I just had a look and found out that none of them rank there.

Are there some kind of basic guidelines that can be followed to get good rankings in Yahoo?

    Try this method.

    1. get a listing from Yahoo! Directory. This one is paid, but it will be worth it.
    2. Increase your landing page's Keyword Prominence.

    Cheers

i seem to be ranking well in yahoo (better in msn) and not too bad in google. im in yahoo's directory and most of the pages are indexed (the ones that arent are only a matter of a few days old)

We actually just had a client with this problem. He was not a happy camper. PM me if you'd like and I'll tell you how we got him out of the box and back in business with Yahoo! It was pretty easy.

Yahoo has their own likes and dislikes. I have noticed that higher KW density can help in Yahoo. Inbound links have alot of weight also. However do not sacrafice Google rankings to rank better in Yahoo.

I agree. If you want high rank on Yahoo you can get suplementals on Google. Thats my opinion.

search engines have different factors in ranking a site. Google focused on fresh and reliable content. Most of our clients prefer to be ranked high in google, mainly because google is frequently uses as a search engine.

I would agree with the suggestions that you should submit your site to yahoo directories. It might help...
