I was just watching a great episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S and this question came into my head which is: How did breast feeding come about, i mean did a mothers breats just start leaking milk 1 day and they thought it would be a good idea to feed her child with it or did they just decide to let there children suck on them and eventually started producing milk
Uhhhh ... ever hear of instincts? Breast feeding has been around for Millions of years - just look at animals (or if you are a creationist, then God just taught all women how to breastfeed a few thousand years ago). Either way, I don't think women just decided to start doing it. Anita
Comes natural, thats how life works. You will never know the real reason for half that stuff that happens in your life...
I think some reactions are pre-programmed. I seem to remember something on a medical show about there being a reaction when you brush a baby's cheek.
Your right it is natural. The reaction your talking about is the rooting reflex. When you brush a baby's cheek it moves to breast feed.
