I've never really debated creationism before, but let's start for the fun. I'm pro evolution and you are pro creation. How do you explain evolution which can be observed, such as etc bacterium's cracking the code of anti-bacterium medicine?
Christians or their church, is just as bad as muslems. both discriminate against people that choose not to believe in a god, both are homophobic, and both look down on anyone that does not follow their religion. so Christians abhore: Atheists 5% usa population muslems 20% usa population homosexual/bisexuals 10% usa population. hmmmm
hehe I laughed while reading first post .... english media fair ? hahahahaha what BBC ? it is biased when it comes to east europe .....
Christians do not discriminate against anyone that does not believe in THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD. We love all people because Jesus Christ died for our sins because we have sinned. We love people because we want to show you the love that God gracefully granted us. Being a Christian is just as hard a life as every other life. The only difference is that we are going to go to heaven and we Love God.
No offense mate - but how do you expect anyone to take you serious if you say the earth is only 6,000 - 10,000 years old. Every scientist worth his salt could spend a lifetime showing you why that is a ridiculous thing to say. Do you still believe that the earth is flat. and that the sun revolves around the earth - just because it says it in the Bible?
From what I understand in reading it I see that It evolves through other products around it. The picture on that page shows how it comes randomly from one group of bacterium to produce another bit of bacteria. It is just producing. But unlike human reproduction you don't know what the outcome is.
Well in a sense Christians are pretty much as screwed as I am! Sorry but I am pretty sure less than 1% do as the bible states. Remember in one part you must take any items that have mold on to the local Priest!
It was not copy and paste. I just wrote it. And we are not homophobic. By the way Most Christians in America are being hypocrites because they really are not being Christians. The Puritans somewhere around the 1750s came up with the half-way covenant. The half-way covenant allowed people that were "OK" people but not Christians to vote in America. Back then you had to be a member of a church to vote you see. So then people started to think over time that you just had to be a good person to go to heaven. So now everybody just says "I am a good person. God will let me in to heaven.". So foolishly Christians started to believe that they could persuade people to become Christians by Saying "Come to church and become a Christian and your life will be so much better!". Now we have all these people in churches who are there for the wrong reasons (the reason being themselves) and their life is just as bad as it was. So now they are still cought up in all this sin. So people look at our church and say "look at all those Christians, what a bunch of sinning hypocrites." I hope this kinda explains why Christians are looked on as people who discriminate. By the way Christians are not perfect, just forgiven.
I'm not sure what you mean with "just producing". Bacterium's reproduce themselves with a variety of outcome. Those that are randomly mutated to fit the environment better than the others survives. What's your problem with that? Humans are different. We are largely a combination of our parents genes. Mutations occurs here as well. Those who are born retarded have less chance to find a girlfriend and form a family than others.
83% of America says they are Christians. >2% are in church every Sunday. More than half those churches are just filling peoples heads with feel good crap that is NOT true.
No. I just agree that they produce themselves in different way than humans. The picture shows that the bacteria is coming from another set of bacteria. Evolving is coming from nothing. This is randomly coming from a product being in the area. Edited because I put a not where it should not have gone.
"Look down on". By that do you mean "wish they were members of our faith" or "they are inferior human specimen's and we should rule over them"? I'll admit I ascribe to the former, and will offer to talk about Jesus to those who want to hear, but advise them that the people talking from the pulpit on Sunday are the experts as they went to school to study religion, and I went to study Mathematics and Computer Engineering. After all, you wouldn't go to a pastor who has a degree in theology and ask him to write a computer program for you, now would you? Not that I'm going to try to force anyone into my religion. That doesn't create true faith, which is the whole point. I don't want my church running my government any more than I want my government running my church. However there are many different denominations, specifically due to differences of opinion over matters such as these. There are many churches that welcome homosexuals to worship with them. There are many Christians (not sure about denominations) attempting to make friends with people of other faiths, and open dialog with them. There are also branches who are not at all tolerant of those who have certain feelings.
