Just an email to old domains registered while Regfly was still a reseller. Like someone else said above, Registerfly isn't going anywhere, with all the publicity over the years (negative or positive, publicity is publicity) they aren't gonna trash themselves so easy. Let the torment restart IT
I keep getting RegisterFly advertising emails, and never actually felt like willing to buy anything from them. With the ongoing offers we receive from GoDaddy including 1,99$ domain names and all, I see no point in mentioning services like eNom anymore.. GD has simply crashed the domain reselling business. At this point I am struggling to get a domain configured with DomainSite. Although its control panel seems pretty straight forward to work with, I can't get control of my domain. DNS not updating for hours and hours. At GoDaddy it took me half an hour at most with an additional ipconfig -flushdns shot to get it updated. Sadly I can't transfer my domain away.
Agree, that email sounds really strange and maybe a tactic to get people paying $30 a year because I can see Registerfly working and just got a couple of domains registered today with no problem and any notice regarding end of operations. By the way, Registerfly was an eNom registrar by July 2005, when he became iCann registrar service until today.
Don't you find the requirement to plow through page after page of marketing upsell pages before you can get anything done just a little annoying?
I do. I did, actually. Now I got used to that. Price doesn't change if I click on the right links, and I am versed in running through those "junk" pages fast and get my domains registered at prices that beat all without adding any "extra value" to the bill.
Hmm..I need to decide whether I want to create a new account at enom for my registerfly domains or move them to my existing enom account. Advice?
I couldn't see any way to make my existing reseller account "see" the new messages so I created a new one. I guess I will know in the morning how that works. My thought was I could always push them to my old account.
hi, do you have a link for that please. In regfly's email they say they've been a registrar since feb 2006 on the other side of the coin, i'm pretty sure enom has some other motives as they were bought out and am sure the new owners weren't to happy about them losing millions of domains to regfly!
It's not a tactic to get $30. Since I had a domain with regfly but registered with enom, I got them to transfer it to my enom account and it cost me nothing. I then quickly transfered it to namecheap. If you have a domain under enom stuck with regfly, and you want out, this is quite a good way to go. Edit, just got this email:
Please share ! Does anybody here have got a link to a INITIATE PUSH TO ENOM webpage mentioned by enom in their email: *************************************************** 6 What if I have a large number of domain names? To make your transition as easy as possible, we have set up a web page where you may initiate a push of your domain names to an eNom account. Please contact our support team for additional assistance. *************************************************** Cheers Yoook
This morning the 14 domains showed up in the new enom account I created for them. However, when I tried to push them to my old enom account I got a message that only one push per seven days is allowed. So I guess i wait a week and see if I can push them then.
They suck, plain and simple. I sent a trouble ticket last night, to which they responded: "We apologized [sic] for your troubles. Please generate a trouble ticket and...." WTF. Morons.
It Seems that Registerfly Domains are in trouble - I want to share this with all of you to warn you to take action to save your domains Here is a copy of the email Enom.com sent me Dear david xxxxxxx: This is a formal notice to owners of domains which have been registered through eNom via its reseller, RegisterFly.com. Please reference our list of frequently asked questions page http://www.enom.com/ migrate/faq.asp for additional information. We look forward to helping you feel more secure about your domain management. eNom, Inc. http://www.eNom.com former registrar for RegisterFly.com
If you didn't get the mail then it means, the domain you registered wasn't via the enom reseller. Registerfly has two types of domain registration policies. One via e-nom reseller and the other one is via direct ICANN. And as your domain registered via ICANN thats why you didn't receive the domain And the name of the topic should changed. It doesn't mean Registerfly No more. It is still available and will be available, only enom is no more the basic registrar of registerfly, they are now totally accredated. And definitely now the price will be more less then before. Regards
