I have an unmanaged one with futurehosting(biz) and it works great. I have it for almost a month but they are reliable and friendly. If you know some linux administration get an unmanaged one ...just like mine, a $10 Centos with 128 ram.

Do not go unmanaged unless you really know what you are doing. If you don't even know how to secure a server then pay the loot.

    That being said

    SLHOST ROCKS!!!

If you aren't going to run load intensive stuff like proxies, why not go with shared hosting like by DreamHost who offer ridiculous amounts of storage, bandwidth and other features? Their downtime is hardly any.

    Have you tried Hostgator?
You can host unlimited sites on their host and I'd recommend you get a shared package there, they've upgraded some packages recently.I highly recommend them.
Here are some coupons that you can use.

I really recommend you Powervps. Their support is really cool and fast. Far better then anyother in the market. There is also Servint available. Both has quality but definitely powervps comes first :)
