This question is not relavant unless one can actually prove that God exists. Until we do that we can't address any question concerning God's will.

I personally like to ask the question: "How can you prove that God doesn't exist?"

You have many questions you seem t not have the answer for. Study of God's word in the proper way will find answers for your questions. Study will also answer you question about Revelation being both literal and symbolic. Of course, not the whole book being both. I mean some things spoken about are literal and some symbolic. Only proper study will bring clear understanding. Yes, Jesus is the Lamb of God. Not disputing that at all.

Revelation was written by the apostle John. Of course he is a Christian. He followed Christ's teaching. Hence, the very definition of being a Christian.

Honestly, I think everyone needs to stop getting caught up in the specific words of the Bible (After all, how many versions are there?) , and focus on the message. God is our creator. Live your life, raise your children, be a good person, and praise the Lord. We will all be judged at one point or another for our actions and God will act accordingly.

Personally I believe everyone will eventually be with our Father, it is simple a matter of how long he punishes you for your sins in the afterlife before he embraces you. So yes, you will be forgiven and go to heaven, you just might be punished in hell for 600 years beforehand.

    God is forgiving.

Does a master's degree in theology count as proper studying, because I will have that one in about 3 more months...I also think that scripture can be interpreted differently by different people, as well as differently by the same person at different times. I leave all of this up to God and the work of the Holy Spirit, however, I do not believe that we can still look at the Bible and pick out the parts that are literal and the parts that are not. That is not something we as humans can't do. To do that is to know exactly what God is thinking, and if we did that, we would be God.

So God is non-forgiving or conditional before he is forgiving? Where does that information come from? I have read the Bible fully and never heard or read such a thing...

A masters degree will on no way guarantee God's favour. I have studied the Bible for 4 solid years and still I need to learn a great deal more. Put it this way. No human can in no way have the full understanding of God and it's just not right to think that someone can. I am not saying you think this way so don't get me wrong. I use the Bible as a measuring stick against all other theories and things. If it does not fit, then it most likely would not be correct. It's worked for me this far.

That's great that you use it as a measuring stick, I wish more people would...and just an fyi i've been studying the Bible for 27 years, and I still don't have it all either, nor will I ever. However, I do enjoy pushing people on the subject and how they use it. This has been fun, and I think we have done it without attacking each other...

What do you believe? What's your stance on life after death? If you say God is forgiving than do all people get into heaven regardless? If you say God does send people to hell for their sins, then is he not forgiving?

I believe our Lord punishes us after death if we did something wrong in life, but that he is merciful and would not leave us in hell eternally, and that once we have fulfilled our punishment he will allow us to live in his kingdom with him.

this is God's job. Not mine.

We should just focus on going to heaven, we should do whatever we have to do, then of course God is going to decide that we were okay to go to Heaven or not.

    May God Bless you All

What is God's job? Who are we to say what God's job is? That's like telling the teacher at school "I don't think you are teaching me correctly. You should teach me what I think you should teach me".

Of course, that would be a totally wrong attitude towards God. Not saying you have this attitude but your words make it "appear" this way.

What the Bible teaches about who is going to heaven is definitely something to study and learn. You might be surprised who is and who isn't.

There is nothing in the Bible that says you can not drink. It does say you should not become a drunkard though (1 Cor 5:9-13).

I am a Christian and I am currently enjoying a nice glass of red. Jesus turned water into fine wine at a wedding reception for the guests there as an example that we can enjoy a drink but not to excess (John 2:1-11).

I wish I could do that, I'm all out of wine and all I have left is a couple of cans of Kronenbourg 1664. :(

I did try but all I could turn water into is water. I guess it's all in the technique.

I hate to break this to you, but you won't actually be going anywhere when you die, you'll rot and become earth eventually, so never mind god / allah or anyone else live your life for you, how you want to; you'll die happy.
