So, I'm bored, and wondering how many of you guys also consider yourselves money lovers? I am definetly a money lover, I do what I do online for 16 hours a day for that one reason alone What about you?
I don't know if I'd consider myself as a "money lover" I definitely stay online to make money.. but I think the feeling of sucess is much greater than the money itself. Why would we need so much money? I would spend it all on cloths. So I guess I'm a clothing lovverr
My goal is to make the most amount of money with the least amount of effort and to have enough money that I don't have to worry about bills.
Yeah, what KalvinB said. Honestly, there is much more to life than money. You can accumulate all the cash in the world and be absolutely lonely too.
Having money allowed me to travel to the Greek Islands, Australia, Up the Amazon, Rio!!, to visit the Grand Canyon every quarter, to own my Cessna 206, and to plan my next trip to Easter Island, Robinson Cruso Island & the Galapagos. Fine, someone will come up with "I can do all the same, living off the land and travelling tramp steamers. More power to you! I enjoy luxury and the things money can buy. I work 40+ hours a week to get it, but I enoy every minute of my weekends and 30+ days off a year.
This is another thing ... the thing is that you are only working 40hours .. The problem start when you overwhelm your self with work to have the luxury life . just live a normal life and yes if u can afford to travel why not ? Just try to stay in a good health , enjoy your life with your wife and kids Be good
I love money so much I try hard not to spend it.........or spend as little as possible on most things.
I wish I could agree with you, but I can't. For me money comes first, then maybe family and friends. Family and friends can screw you or leave you, but if you handle your money in the proper manner, it will grow and last forever. Money is truly everything. Most people here claim they love money, but they are not telling the truth. In reality, they love what money can buy, not the money itself. Me, I love the actual money. Money is my security against a society that is designed to leave me in poverty. You see, I come from a poor family, and trying to become successful is extremely hard, since I have no foundation to start on. In this sense, money is more valuable than family or friends, because it can open doors that they can't open, and it can protect me from things that they can't protect me from. Money makes life better. When you have a lot of money, or you make a lot of money, people respect you. You are considered to be powerful. People who are broke, in debt, or who slave at 9 to 5 jobs have not respect given to them. They are just a cog in the machine. Money is protection. If you are a multi-millionaire, or billionaire, you can say screw the government and corporations. You can buy islands, go where you want, invest in the latest technologies. Your money allows you to be light years ahead of the general population. Having lots of money is the closest thing to being a God, or if you're a woman, Goddess. When nanotech, biotech, and cybernetics allow humans to become superior beings, guess who will be the first people to afford it? The people with lots of money. The rest of the broke population will be forced to bow to superior humans who have used their wealth to become superior beings, what Nietzsche called the Superman. Money and technology are synonymous, because money allows you to buy advanced technology. The person, group, or nation that has the money to purchase advanced technology will have an edge in finance, technology, and military applications. Those who do not have money cannot afford technology, and they will be slaves. Africa is a great example. While many of you here at DP take the Internet for granted, people in most of Africa are at least a decade or two behind. Most can't afford computer or the Internet. By the time they can, industrialized nations with the money for technology would have moved on to something even better. Yes, money is everything. Not just what it can buy, but the money itself.
Coming from a poor family is not a reason to love money , maybe when you were a child you didn't get what other kids got but still there is billion of people like this . In my case i came from a poor family and still consider my self poor but still enjoying life at maximum and always prefer family . And the more i give my family the more i get . Family is Everything not money , if u love money your a buyable person any one with big money can buy you . Its the money that come and go , family stay and there is nothing like " last forever" see the Kings of history where are they now ? Gone ! most of them died what happened to there money ? they didnt buried it with them , maybe there enemy got it or anyone else ...
I agree with you in some aspects. I guess I was a bit shortsighted in my post. Its just that money is the main thing people want out of you, taxes for governments, money for education and such.
My mom and father and grandmother is everything to me. Then money comes. Money is so powerful it can break a family. Just like it did between to my brother and other people in my family. It can bring hate into family because that same family is fighting over MONEY! Money is one of the most powerful things in the world. It can make or even break people.
The thing that scares me the most is that in the not to distant future, technologies will become available that will allow the rich to biologically separate themselves from humans, meaning they can become cyborgs, or nano augmented. For most of history, the rich have simply been able to buy more toys than those who didn't have as much. With nanotech, biotech, cybernetics, and genetic engineering, we could have a future where people like Angelina Jolie, Donald Trump, and Paris Hilton could buy genetic tools that allow them to live hundreds of years, even thousands of years. They could become truly superior humans. They would live on, while the rest of us die off. This is what scare me. I want to have enough money to enhance my body to extend my lifespan hundreds of year, to become superior. This is way beyond just buying Ferraris and stuff, this is about becoming truly powerful....
Money does = power.. since money is limits us all (from doing things, getting stuff, lifestyle, etc). I wouldn't put it above friends however, but people all have different values and what makes them happy . I think your love for money is.. indeed above superficial, it's more about power. Love power?
