Harassment via Telephone

Does anyone have experience with this? I have some fucking asshole calling me twice a day for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I pick up and all I hear is this fucking loser breathing. I'm this || close to informing the police about him, luckily our police has this nice internet portal where you can submit this stuff online.
I started writing down the exact times when he calls so I have a better chance to fuck with him in court.

 

No experience, but you're right to be keeping a record of all the nuisance calls. All goes towards building a portfolio of evidence against this person. Something similar has happened to me once - I kept on getting silent calls. I waited a while longer than usual before putting the phone down and heard a recorded information message from the phone company - just they'd mistakenly made it that there was a delay before it played. Fax machines can also make silent calls if they are programmed wrongly. You sure there's not some innocent explanation like this?

 

My mother once got threatening phone calls. It started with some girl breathing really heavily and laughing, then it turned into her watching me and my brother play and calling and saying what we did that day and how she was going to kill my mother, etc. The police bugged our lines to listen in and they never did anything about it. It did eventually stop but only when we changed our phone number and made it private so it wasn't listed. I hope cops over there will be more interested in helping you..

 

I always waited until he put the phone down (until I hear that beeping sound) before I put the phone down myself.

I might just be looking forward to reporting him to the police. They have to investigate this and I will most likely get to know the name of that bastard.

 

It's interesting how it's suddenly all quiet after I threatened to call the police on Monday. I guess our Mr. Tough Guy isn't so tough after all.

 

So, I just filed charges with the local police. I'll keep you people updated. I can't WAIT to find out who that fucking asshole is.

 

The best way to handle this is to say 'Hang on a second' and just put the phone down on the table. Let him pay for a call that no one is listening to Apparently that way works best as he is not getting any benefot tfrom it.

 

Well, he is hanging up almost right away, so that wouldn't do much good.

 

heres a suggestion, kinda noisy though.

air horn, you know the small portable ones on a boat?
give him a blast of that, say something so you have his attention and let em have it. that will wake up his ear drums.

 

Same thing happened to my Girl Friend too. He used dirty words laughing and taking long breaths and so many words. We gave a complaint to police and then they traced about that person. Police took him to the police station and they gave punishment.

I hope you have caller id facility in your phone, whenever you get call from the same number just pick up the phone and keep it that way.
Do not listen to what he is saying. hang it after 10 minutes

 

I have, however apparently he isn't stupid enough to just hand me his telephone number. He's not saying anything, he hangs up almost right after I get my name out. So things like air horn and the likes won't do much good.

Either way, I filed charges now. I'll hopefully find out soon enough who that is.

Yeah there's some wierdos out there. Why not make a computer generated noise from your end so it sounds like the phone call is tapped... that'll scare the shit out of them!

Never! May be she called by VoIP because I'm not sure it's can hide phone number.

 

Well yeah there have been some morons like these calling me up.

However there was this one time when I studied in school, this so called *friend* of mine used to give blank calls to my number, at that time the phones didn't show the number of the person calling.

However when he called this one time, his mom screamed out to him and the voice reached me on the phone, and I immediately knew who it was since he had a unique name.

The next day was not so good for him

Hahah this exact same thing happend to me it was so funny. Someone from the other side was laughing and breathing hard. I was laughing and breathing even harder and he never called back lol.

change your phone number while charges are persued maybe?

 

I have to publish my telephone number on my websites due to our glorious German legal system, so changing my number wouldn't do me any good. That guy most likely got my number through there anyway because I have no enemies in "real life".
