I'm trying to create an online yellow pages for a small country. The scripts I've looked at to create this page are:

    http://www.phplynx.com/
    http://www.esyndicat.com/
    http://www.indexscript.com/
    http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/
    http://www.snowblind-development.com/
    http://www.nicecoder.com/
    http://www.phpmydirectory.com/

Does anyone have any other recommendations or scripts I should look at?

I think that phpmydirector would be just fine as you are looking into "yellow pages" not link directory site.

Well, yellow pages typically have business information which typically have links to their sites. Selecting a script that offers yellow page type information is the first step to ensuring that I can build successful links for my website.

If there's a better forum for this topic, please let me know.

I've used phpmydir but had to make major mods and bought a lot of them too. If you have the resources get something done custom. So much less headache and it's far more refined.

It also increases the re-sale value big time.

http://www.phpmydirectory.com/ is horrible. Tons of bugs. The program just doesn't function right. They ask you for more money just to get it working as advertised. Stay away from this one. Worst program out there.
