$1000/month from 1 forum site, how long?

is it possible to make $1000-$1500/month from 1 forum site?

if i just wait traffic from SE, how long i can achieve it (your experience)?

any tips? thank you.

 

I dont think you can "just wait" for anything. You have to work very hard for it.

 

Just waiting if not a good idea. Advertise, work on content, make people want to visit and join. Offer what you can and just make it a fun place to spend time. It may take some time, but the results are a lot better then just waiting.

yes, off course i have to add more content and then i have to wait SE indexed my pages. finally, i will get traffic from SE.

 

Forums can easily make $1000-$1500/mo if you have thousands of loyal members and even more traffic.

 

i'm doubtouf about the ability to grow a new forum into a monthly 1000$ generator if you start from scratch (no other sites to feed visitors into it, no numerous connections with webmaster friends...) and with no specifically very good idea or great skills that few have.

true, the difficulty being getting thousand of loyal members and the associated traffic.

Also try to buy some links at related sites and forum sigs at other car forums, that would help with traffic for sure

 

i think its hard but not imposible.u need uniqe contents & more traffic & thousands of visitors.u have to optimize ur ads very well.And wait .

From my personal point of view, $1000 or even more profit from a forum is possible but that will be solely depend on web traffic. If the forum have unique contents and a lot of ppl love it, refering the forum to their friends, then you can sell advertising slots ( xx per week, xx per pixel etc )

The difficult part is how do you convince your members to post? I have seen a lot of forum owners trying paid per post, referral program etc but i believe this method can't work because your site will full with spamming msgs.

 

It should be possibel. But need a lot of traffic, especially considering forum generally have a very low CTR.

 

Definately possible if you pick the right niche, have the marketing abilities and of course decent CPC with adsense always helps

if you have a bmw forum (not some celebrity site) it would be much easier to get that amount if you have a good trafic (i'd say more than 1000 uniques a day)

 

With thousands of unique visitors a day, you can win that and much more on almost every single kind of website.
You just need to produce good content, tweak the advertising (and don't put only adsense or YPN, use also affiliates) and you are on the track

 

I've 11,000 uniques/day but haven't started monetizing the forum. What's my best placement to achieve $1,000/mth without going against Google's TOS?

I'm also kinda worried that "over-supportive" members will click on the ads and get you ban in the end.
