Two months ago, I started my first website, and began to learn how to promote my site here in DP. I did something I was told in DP, but seemed not worked so well. So I stopped doing promotion about 3 weeks ago. But today when I check the PR, I am very surprised to see a PR4. It's really unexpected as I was waiting for a PR1 with lucky. Anyway thanks you guys in DP, and best wishes to you all.
Nice job. I myself have had similar success...sort of. The google toolbar says my site's page rank is zero. However every page ranking tool I check says my PR is 3. ...yay?
Yup, it looks like this update was nice to a lot of us with new websites My SEOyak.com site was started on Dec 21, 2006 and is now a PR5. I like it.

I can relate, I went from a PR0 to a PR3 in this site. It happened in less than 2 months, with only a few backlinks.

Wow, congratulations! That's utterly amazing! I'm a noob and have just started promoting my sites. I know that DP's got a whole lot of useful info for boosting PR, but sometimes I'm just overwhelmed at the sheer volume of posts to wade through before getting to the good stuff. Care to let me in on exactly what you did to get the PR4?
i had similar pagerank-expierence. started my page at the end of december and got pagerank 4 at the end of january. that surprised me a lot. this board is so amazing and helpful. greetings to all!
but my pageranks are allways 0, but people from google comes to my site. can you post how many google referals you have got per day in average if your PR4 or PR3 or PR5 ?
G probably keeps encouraging me, too. Got a website jump from PR0 to PR5 in just 3 weeks after launch, and over 14,000 indexed pages during the same period. Then I sold it, well My recent jump was from PR0 to PR4, with a site that was less than 3 months old. So I keep going, with about 15 fresh sites watching for the next PR update
PR is based on SEO how friendly ur site is you may still get traffic from google/search but it may not effect your PR. Metatags / update contend on a daily bases and so on...
Congrats on Pr4... But u know that the page rank scale is logarthmic, so it is gonna be tough now... ggoing from pr4 to pr5 & so on...
