Servage is a shared hosting service and I don't know whether they allow proxy sites. They offer a lot of bandwidth upto 2100 GB/mon but will they allow proxy ? Pulikuttann
I don't think so because proxy sites eates a lot of resources and you will probably have your account suspended...
A shared host offering 2100GB is a scam, there is absolutely no physical way you could generate that traffic with proxies or just about any other sort of site (barring maybe 1 plain html file, no js, php etc) without using too many resources and getting suspended or terminated...and unfortunately most shared hosting firms are the same. If you're looking to host a proxy, start at a VPS package and work your way up
I wouldn't say that is they offer a huge webspace they are a scam... It's just that it is a shared hosting, they can handle the bandwidth and webspace but not the server resources.
You missed my point. You can't deliver those figures (bandwidth/ webspace) without racking up the resources. It's close to physically impossible (if not 100%) that anyone can ever get close to those figures without the server resources.
This is true but it's overselling and not a guaranteed scam. They just work on the law of averages to profit. I'm sending you a PM as soon as I publish this regarding our other business btw. Cheers
Friends, Servage hosting provides bandwidth and not the resource and I know some of their clients (I am not sure whether they use servage now) who come close to 2100GB transfer. One of them was music site..... 123musiq.com
I really think that this is not true. I speak from my experience. For example delivering 100.000 requests to a page with some images on does not use even close to 1.000 requests to a page that use a 1.000.000 records database with multiple queries.... But everyone can have an opinion and I just stated mine
