Quite right. I got ubuntu CD a while back without paying anything and I read it would remain free forever so no need to worry. You can get 25 cds or more to distribute them to your friends , not to sell lol

If you read their site (specially Ubuntu) you will come to know that they have some really big donors plus some high income projects which are keeping their free CDs mission alive.
