Which is better for SEO in links

    Is it better to use underscores_in_links or dashes-in-links? Or does it not matter which method you use? Thank you.

    I've read that is better to use "dashes-in-links", and it's what I'm using.

    Comma (,) are allright too.

    I've used both in the past but seem to do better with dashes in the last year or so.

    Whoops, just read your question again. My 3 year old is climbing on me and it's effecting my concentration...

    If you are talking about urls, go with a dash.


    If you are talking about anchor text, it doesn't matter. In fact, you wouldn't use either.

    blogs at blogger get's dasses, and they don't even accept underscores.
    i still think underscores are a popular thing, but then now am also using dashes. i have to see it on the long term basis, perhaps it will help.

    "dashes-in-links" are better supported by the Bots for indexing. Commas are sometimes having problems in the translation to standard URL format (Programming stuffs :p)
