I would suggest that you build a website related to windows vista downloads and grow your traffic. Once your site becomes known and popular and offer unique services / information the extension would not matter much and you can drastically grow the value of your site.

Let me explain you my personal reasons for saying so.

I would not invest too much in such domain. The reason being that if MS comes with trademark issues I don't want to loose too much.

If MS approves of the site, your next problem is to develop unique downloadable content related to vista in order to grow and turn the site into a profitable venture. This will require a lot of time and money.

If you can overcome the above, like I said you will drastically grow the value of the site.
