Is DMOZ banned from Google

    How long has DMOZ been not working for I added a ton of sites and they have still not added them and it's been months.

    Google uses Dmoz so they will not de-index it. They will keep using it for sometime.

    I know that right now they're using a back up of the site due to some issues. The editors said that it's definitely not the most updated version that is on the web right now. They expect everything to be properly up and running shortly.

    It's been down for what almost 3 months now? I'm not holding my breath that they will ever be back up and running the way they once were.

    Well... whether or not they'll be up and running shortly I can't say and don't know. But I can tell you what a couple of the editors told me. Hopefully they're right.

    Sounds like you haven't actually taken a look at the directory. ;) They're no longer using a back up and you're seeing the most recent version.

    google is using domoz database, if google will have their own database like domoz or larget then demoz, then they may be say good bye to dmoz
