What Kind of server Needed for this .

For a 250,000 impressions/ day site , no database, what kind of server will be needed ? will a 2.8GHz Pentium 4 , 2 GB RAM be enough ? will a 10 mbit connection be Enough?

During what hours of the day?

You need to define the problem more clearly.

 

250000 impressions on the site , thats obvious

 

If fully static site, then a cheaper server can do it...

 

Let me mention Impressions refers to how many times your website has been viewed, well if you ask me it has a mere connection with your Bandwidth used.

 

I think that what you need to define is what the content on your site is. Is it just plain text, a cheap server will do. Is it a lot of images and movies you will need a more expensive host, with a lot of bandiwith.

It totally depends what type of site you have as mentioned by others.For example a static page can easily be hosted on normal servers even pentium 3 but if you have forums etc you need high end servers like dual core etc
