Hi, I've seen that you can also purchase ebooks on Amazon and I wondered whether you can publish/sell your own ebook there without having it ever printed as hardcopy? Meaning your work only exists as an ebook. I've emailed Amazon support directly about this but never received a reply. Maybe someone has more insight into this and might share. Thanks, Michael
Good question. I thought you could but I can find the answer to this question when I searched their web site. However I did a search on the term "ebook" and it brought up listings that could only be received by download. So apparently you can if you can find the section or person to answer your question. Can I get in on that almost nothing, the more nothing the better? I haven't had much luck with Amazon, just I was promoting the wrong products with them. gene
I don't think the amazon affiliate program is worth it...it's hard to make it with PPC, because you make a really small commission (I think it's like 10 or 15 percent)...so when you consider that most purchases are only for 10-20 dollars, you need to convert 1 in 20 or 1 in 40 people just to break even if you're spending .05 per click.
I agree. My best advice to you is to find a start up affiliate program that needs affiliates, but make sure they are legit. Amazon is a billion dollar company, and they won't pay you much of anything. If they don't want to upload your ebook, forget about them. You could build your own website and offer to sell the ebooks of authors for a reasonable commission, essentially owning your own affiliate program.
Hi guys, first off I'm not talking about the Amazon affiliate program which btw. only pays 4% commission on sales. I meant a way to publish my own ebook there. Why not use Amazon's massive traffic for that?

Michael11, Yes, you can publish simply an e-book on Amazon. You can do this by uploading it to Amazon's Digital Text Platform (DTP). The drawback to uploading and selling an e-book on Amazon is that it will only be available in Kindle format. If you want more flexibility, you might consider publishing your e-book through CreateSpace or other similar sites.
