Camtasia Studio. If you want people to be able to embed them maybe it is possible if you use absolute urls to your video files.

    Just so I am clear...

.flv is a flash video-format...so I do not understand what you mean by "embedding" video "into" a .flv file. Do you mean you wish to convert some video format (such as avi or mpeg) into .flv?

Next, I am a bit behind the times with the Windows Media Player (on purpose!). I do have Flash MX 2004 Pro and have created .flv files using a separate product called Sorenson Squeeze.

Now, with respect to playback, whenever I have created video on a page, I have had to use the Macromedia Flash video player control. That is, I have to create a .swf file that contains a Flash component (contained in the Flash MX 2004 development product) that then is used (through scripting) to access the .flv file.

All of this is done on the developer's side...so that the user just loads the page, the Flash Player pops up and you get your video.

What I am saying is that I think this is more involved than simply plopping a link to an FLV file. As far as I know (and it may be that technology has out-paced me and what I am about to say is now obsolete), you cannot simply link to an .flv file and expect it to play. The .flv file needs to be "referenced" from a flash movie (.swf), and the .swf is actually what is placed on your website.

If you can give me a bit more info I might be able to give you a more useful answer.
