My wife and I made a pact many years ago to never exchange gifts on Valentine's Day, birthdays, Christmas, and our anniversary. Instead, we exchange appropriate greetings, a hug and a kiss.

We are motivated by our belief that giving someone else money for some "object" is not a celebration of our feelings towards one another, but instead feeds our spending habit.

Everyday is valentines. We share a hug and a kiss at various times throughout the day and we try to be respectful towards one another and helpful.

umm in in a spot of bother as she is living some 400 miles away and i absolutely have no possibility of going to meet her, and she does like valentines day.
I would love if someone can suggest me someway to cheer her up.

this is really tough :-S You can send her a great sms and talk to her on the telephon ; moreover you can send her e-cards because of the valentines day . this is all what you can do but if you can send her flowers this would be great really.

IF you have money then travel 400 miles to spend this day with her )

er , travelling is almost ruled out , but since she is touchy about such stuff ..she needs a gesture of love more than anything else, i would really like to make her a day , sms and phone calls is a daily mandatory thing, i can fedex her something but the usual hearts & candles is ..well its usual..still thinking on it.

I do spend valentines day with my girlfriend. We have been together for over four years now and we've been celebrating valentines together ever since. We usually eat dinner and watch a movie. :D

Option 1: Send her a Gift (If you can't send it with your name use something else or ship it directly from the company address:D )

Option 2: Call her and make her happy (Depends on how good you are :D )

Option 3: Meet her ( u say absoultely no possibility )

Option 4: Celebrate online (this is the most boring offcourse:( )

Option 5: Place an advt in newpaper, TV in the valentines columns and let her know, may be a romantic poem

Option 6: Get there before the valentines day and just pre-pone the celebrations, or call her and post-pone to a further date:cool:

Now you have lot of options, lol...
