Ok, I've never had problems in the past with this product, it always seemed acurate.. until just now. http://www.rustybrick.com/pagerank-prediction.php I went there to test how the links coming from specific pages I have been adding to were altering the PR of my main pages... www.jrwrestling.com and www.wrestling-connection.com both increased in a normal fashion (jrwrestling.com went from 3 to 4 and W-C went from 4 to 5.) However, a site I built to key in on words like wrestling technique, wrestling workouts, etc jumped from 4 to 8! Its still a useful tool that you guys might want to check out if you haven't used it yet. http://tools.veoda.com/ is also a nice tools assortment to use. www.jrwrestling.com/leroyvega.php
The tool estimated that HackFAQ.org, which just earned it's PR6 last week, would go to a PR8 in the next update. I wish. Another one of my sites with a PR5 and no traffic was estimated to go to a PR9. That would be nice too. Voyager The Hack FAQ
Listen I don't want to be vicious, but that tools has never worked. If it has been slightly close for you in the past it was an accident. Google couldn't predict your future PR. There is no way any predictive tool can. Tell me any reasonable set of assumption you could base it on. 1. What if a site has been just sitting around for the last year and someone just decides to go to work on it? 2. What if I suddenly go out and buy 1000 good quality backlinks? 3. What if I've been working my butt of on the site for a year and now I'm satisfied and don't do any more work over the next 6 months. Frankly the tools is a joke. It's about as accurate as the fortunes in Chinese cookies.
Well yeah, I use it usually just for the current PR.. however, it could check the links that google has indexed and not factored into the PR yet..(assuming google doesnt regularly update PR) - that'd be the only way it would sort of work/..
I used it a few weeks ago to see how the Google Datacenter Watch Tool would fare, once it PR and Backlinks where updated. It said it was currently a PR5 (which it was) and that it would be a PR10 the next update. The "next update" came and went and it is still sitting at a PR5. Another site I have is a PR6 and the tool predicted that it would drop to a PR5. It remaind at the PR6.
for me it predicted a decline in PR and the G ads just below that message offered to purchase 1000 relevant links to improve PR .. at least the tools attempts to shock people and get them to make some spontaneous panic purchase of links instead of working on what always works to always keep or improve PR ... quality of content offerend with clean SEO on valid pages !
I just tried three different pr check tools. One gave prediction of 1. the other of 3 and the last one i tried gave prediction of 3.8 ............. will have to wait and watch
