I moved to tektonic.net because they had unmeterd b/w and allowed proxies. Now about a month later they changed their TOS! I was just browsing their site because my server went down (not because I was running a proxy - disk crash). Anyway, this seems screwy to me. That's the reason I moved to them - a proxy friendly host. Does it matter that I paid before their TOS change? Zipp0
Many service providers have a term in their legal fine print which goes like "we can change our terms anytime we want. So please check our terms from time to time because you agree to them whether you like it or not." Not exactly in those words, but I see no point beating around the bush. If you really mean their new terms won't apply to you before the TOS change, you'd better clarify with them. Trying to get a yes or no is something only a licensed experienced attorney can "authoritatively" answer for you. It's easy to believe it's screwy if one doesn't consider what it's like being on the other side of the fence. But providers do have every right to change any of their terms depending on circumstances.
I guess so. On the plus side, thy have agreed to honor their 90 day money back guarantee. that says something good for them and maybe I'd consider using them again in the future for another one of my sites. I just have to learn to install joomla....
