The federal government don't care about you. The state government don't care about you. The business owners (employers) don't care about you. There is no mystery here. :D

They will come to USA as long as it's profitable for the government and the employers. ;)

Wasn't the crew of Mayflower the first group of illegal immigrants in north America?

No rule of law at that point, which eventually led to genocide. That was a nation without immigration policy...didn't work well, did it!? Same could be said of the crusades.

That's how it works even in modern time. Most mass migration leads to political upheaval and sometimes violence, unless the cultures are exactly the same or immigration is moderated and absorbed. That's why nationalistic country like Japan are so attritioned on immigration...because they take the other extreme...no immigration. In ways they benefit greatly and a country can live without immigration if it's values and reality are kept in check.

I favor lawful, rational, and organized immigration...from every nation. The numbers and quality are important to me, because they will form the political structure that this country rest on.

We shouldn't be dedicating the majority of our immigration to institutions that have stagnated wages...we'll only perpetuate poverty and social welfare. And while I agree with deadcorn...these illegal immigrant use less welfare/social programs than legal immigrants, I recognize and admit the truth of the trend. Our policies in whole do not support small government.

Therefore I can not support the trend.

LOL.... Especially the long haired, dark-skinned, black-eyed variety...

LOL... You know, I'm not going to waste my time writing back to you seriously anymore. Your ignorant responses such as the above speak better against your own arguments than I could possibly muster.

    See ya round, goofy :)

You simply cannot get past your lame prejudice argument. "Them" means "Illegal Aliens" not mexican. If you actually read my comments in context you'd know that.

You waive your ignorance like a flag. No amount of projection on to me can detract from that. You'd better get back to nesting...

A "yes to all" law immigration with full integration is the answer.
The key word here is "full".

Why, when they can just claim exempt status?

Of course not. Those are benifits given to citizens. They are not citizens. They didn't go through the legal process to become citizens. They should not be rewarded for illegal activities?

I agree. Stop giving free medical treatment to illegals.

If they want to apply for guest worker status, and are granted it, and then they come to the US, I applaud them, and think that perhaps an additional tax on the program might work. However I have always been firmly against giving legal benifits to illegal action.

In what way did I ever invite them here? To correct your analogy I say "to come to the party you need to wait in line and fill out a card so I know who you are so I can bill you for the food and beer." If people come in the back door and steal the food and beer other customers pay for, I call the bouncer and have them thrown out on their rears, or held until the police come to get them.

Now, if my club is to empty because I'm not letting enough people in during a given period of time, or because not enough people want to fill out the information card. The solution is simple. Let more people in at a given time, and make the entrance form simpler and easier to fill out. The solution is not to tell people that broke into my club "Oh, well you broke into my club, stole my food and beer, go ahead and stay all you want, oh, and use up my toilet paper too while you're at it."

Hopefully less people will be inclined to break into my club because it's easier to get in the right way.

For those who wouldn't fill out the card and wait in line, but would rather break in no matter how easy it is to get into the club? I say let the cops have um.

My solution is known as increasing the cap on legal immigrants and guest workers, and simplifying the application process for those programs as well.

Your solution is called granting guest worker status to illegal aliens.

I didn't say that we hire illegal aliens, I said that we hire "legal" aliens with the SSN but I am realistic enough to know that not all of those SSNs are real. ;)

You are right, as long as I need to hire employees, I really don't care what you think. :D

I don't think that you really know how the government offices work. I can tell you a case that I witnessed. We have an engineer who was working for us and he has valid work permit visa. He decided to visit another country for his vacation and he was informed by the US embassy in that country that he needs an entry visa to enter USA again. He had to wait six months in that country until he could get it. This is a guy who is working for an American company, he has been living in USA while working and he has valid work visa but has to wait six months to get an entry visa. How do you suppose that they reasoned that some one has the permission to work in USA but doesn't have permission to enter?

I think the hidden gem in your story is that the guy waited instead of circumventing the system. Those are the immigrants we need.

Maybe if all our resources weren't diverted to INS and ICE there'd be more agents dedicated to visas.

Oh, and I know you care deep - deep down... ;)

You know I am from a non EU part of Europe. My opinion regarding the immigration etc. is that the criminals always get to the EU (or USA) countries. Just good, hard working law abiding people are not allowed to work honestly. All criminals are already there no mater what laws, border control etc.

Oh, I know how the system works. If I got my travel visa stolen with my other forms of ID while out of the country and couldn't prove who I was at the US embassy, I'd have to wait quite some time to get a visa as well. And I'm a US citizen.

That's why I always make sure a family member who owns a travel Visa has a photocopy of my visa, and why I always have a photocopy of my visa in my travel luggage when I go out of the country.

If you'll recall, I have been calling for reform to make legal immigration and entrance to the country easier as a part of encouraging people to go about getting their entry and work permits correctly, rather than waiting until they're inside the country illegally before either issuing the permits or kicking them out.

If you think that it is possible to improve the efficiency of an agency of federal government, then you are just a dreamer. I prefer to discuss reality. :D

I agree too. However, a strong integration policy must be in place.
Lots of citizen see as bad thing foreigner building up foreign language neighborhood. Some generation do not even speak the local language.
That may lead to more serious troubles...

Again, and what would you do with the estimated 12 millions living here now "illegally?" This is the hypocracy of this stance. You turn a blind eye when it suits you. You say, of course they shouldn't be eligible for social security, they are illegal... yet you know as well as I do, everyone does, including the fed gov't - that we are taking the money anyway.

You say we should stop giving free medical to illegals... I agree, but since we are employing them here now, and on such a wholesale laughable level - it is beyond hypocracy to now deny them amnesty and have me pay to remove them because you turn a blind eye inward.

Let's do it one more time... grant them guest worker status and then you can CHARGE them, via tax deduction for our medical services.

ME? I'm going to vote against this hypocracy you favor. That's my right. I'm going to vote for senators and congressmen on the state and national level who see the hypocracy of this train of thought.

THEN - after we have stopped being such hypocrits - then I would continue to strengthen the borders with troops. THEN I would aggressively urge countries like Mexico to clean their house. And implement these and many other viable solutions now addressing the problem.

THEN I could do all this with a good conscious. Without the stain of hypocracy to the detriment of my soul.

I'm not holding my breath on any of this. The immigration caucus, which is probably the only political group aiming towards lawful/rational immigration should have been created in the late 70's...all of this is far too late.

We're a special interest country in many ways. Liberal politician have to listen to their ACLU leaders for thumbs-up on certain things...same with Republicans and their counterparts.

65' legislation was downhill, and snowballed durning the eighties...where the courts legislated from the bench and awarded things only they perceived as lawful. Ground that in the weird fuck orgy of Reagan and union love (which is odd to say), and you got legions of really odd leaders having vested interest in keeping this going. It's not all one-sided or simplistic, but this issue will go down as huge Reagan-like debacle....where the welfare state expands and no enforcement is really done. At that point immigration is bound to vastly increase from latin america, and we'll be like our southern neighbor...

Poor welfare states and we'll completely abandon individualism. Then all we'll have is Bush-like Republicans on one-side and extreme leftists on the other side. Any sembelance of real conservativism will die.

ILLEGAL ALIENS deserve nothing but a bus ride back to their country and a ticket to the back of the immigration line. I understand that life is tough on the other side of the border. That's not my problem. If it's your country that is broke, fix it. When I feel my country is broke, I try to fix it. I don't pack up and split. That is what I am doing here - wasting my breath on the likes of corny :p and g-unit :). My soul feels just fine doing it too.

I'll bet that if ICE / INS said that they would deport with oversight that Americans would accept a temporary tax to do it. Heck, maybe the fines from companies who hire ILLEGAL ALIENS could subsidize the program.

Whose going to subsidize your Amnesty program, corn? The American taxpayor that's who. And BTW, quit saying that Americans invited and enjoy all these benefits of ILLEGAL ALIENS too. It's just an argument that does not apply to 99.99% of Americans.

The measly % that it does apply to are the business owners like g-unit here, who turn their blind eye to it because it lines thier pocket with money. Hell, why would he really care anyway, he's not even a US citizen? It's just like when you rent, myself included. No matter how good your intentions are, you just never take care of that house as well as you'd take care of your own. It's just human makeup. It goes for g-world and it goes for the ILLEGAL ALIEN too. No pride of ownership.

...oh, and amnesty is a big, steaming pile of dog poop...

So, I took out my little calculator and I tried to multiply 12,000,000 times, well, lets say an average ticket of 250.00 dollars (they're in every state, look up the Greyhound tab)... I came up with about 3 billion dollars... Now add to that the cost of feeding them during their bus ride... Now add to that the truly staggering cost of trying to investigate and round them all up in the first place... Phew!!! That alone would DWARF the cost of busing them once they were caught. You got everyone from the soc sec clerk, to the immigration clerk, to the immigration officers (they need more than just one to go there, afterall) local enforcement back-up, National Guard mobilized...

Don't forget we'll need more bus drivers now... plenty more. Then, once we're done, we'll have to fork over how much in unemployment benefits for them till they find their next career???

lol... Gee, is this why you call yourself the movingconcierge?

Oh, and don't you think we may need an armed gaurd or two on them buses ;)

How many billions, or are we in trillions territory yet, might this all cost?

So let me get this straight, your personal dislike of these folks should cost me and the rest of this country HOW MUCH??? When we were the folks that let them in in the first place???
