He studied philosophy originally but later on in life became interested in economy. Das Kapital is the result of 20 years of his studies in economy theories. ;)

From what I read from Marx....he's very outlandish and more describable an anti-capitalist. I find it hard to read what he writes.

The irony of his rise is that he depended on a rich man to finance his 'intellectual' pursuits. It's odd that there's so many men that depend on the very system they insult.

But some day I'll have that much loose time to read from him. Afterall he did start a huge movement in politics, so he's worthy of some attention.

Gworld, can you look in the report for 7.1 figure, which I couldn't find as I described in this post.

Marx and Chavez is also interesting, but offtopic.

Read the Capital, it is pure economy, especially the first book. No one is black or white, I suppose by the rich man, you are referring to Engels who was his friend and financed his works. Engels was from a rich family but he is the more revolutionary of the two. Marx predicted communism ( not as a from of government but economy system) as the result of internal failures in capitalism that would cause a change while Engels was striving for a better world. ;)

So, your answer is no, he was not an economist. I'm interested in the NFL and have studied my team for about 20 years, doesn't really make me a player or a coach though ;)

There was no real division in his time. If you start playing in a team and as quarter back took your team to the super bowl then you are a player and it doesn't matter that you have not officially played for another team before.

Why are you asking me, I didn't post anything about those numbers?
I actually tried to look at the original link after your first post but then I saw link to this article and lost all interest in the original article. ;)

What do you want me to debunk?

Che Guevara was a medical doctor and a revolutionary, I suppose we can as well make up a question, Che Guevara doctor or revolutionist? George Washington was a slave owner, how about Washington, slave owner or President?

So he spent all his time working on an economic theory that didn't pan out for anyone's who tried to implement it. Sucks to be him!

If you studied the subject instead of posting meaningless posts, you could have learned that according to Marx, communism is not possible in one country and he saw it as result of global failure in capitalist economy and as it's natural outcome. The soviet and east Europe had nothing to do with Marx, even you possibly think that Marx was the president of Russia.

In 1917 and even before and after that, there was a strong opposition to Lenin and his plans for implementing communism in one country inside the Europe socialist movement of that time.
I found it very interesting that you don't believe that you need to have at least a basic knowledge about a subject before expressing an opinion about it.

Spoken by someone who excels in meaningless posts!

You'd be surprised at what I understand, but thanks for telling me what I know and don't know. Mighty kind of you. The best examples of marxism - even if not pure to the concept - were miserable failures. You may have a love affair with him, but accept the grim reality. Quite simply, "from each according to his ability to each according to his needs" is not a workable economic model. Even the mixed economies of europe are slowly realizing this.

What is the best example of Marxism?
I just told you that according to Marx communism was not possible in one country and the failure of east Europe actually proves that he was right.
I don't have a love affair with Marx or his theory but at least I try to learn about it before I make up fantasy stories that has nothing to do with his writings.

First off for all of you saying Communism is a form of government are wrong. It is an economic theory nothing more.

As for people 'calling' China, Venezuela, and Russia communist is an insult to socialist and Marx himself. Communism is the abolishment or private property. NONE OF THOSE COUNTRIES HAVE DONE THAT!, they instead leave the control to the state rather than the farmers and people as Karl Marx said should be done. NO NATION IS COMMUNIST the are forms of it but nothing but wish wash and no pure communism. Just like capitalism. The Wealth of Nations basically said to have the government to stay out of economics and let it ride it's self out. And allowing Monopolies. Hasn't been that way in America since the late 1800's with the huge monopolies on Oil and Steel and Sugar industry.

Now you know so stop pointing out communist and capitalism if you have no idea what you are talking about thank you. :)
