    Hello,

    I really like the shopping cart at www.ecommercetemplates.com - Now, I need to hire a developer who has experience installing the carts.

    I have a client now who needs a shopping cart installed on his site - he has about 10 products so in your response, please tell me how much you would charge for a site like that.

    In your response, please also include some links to ECT's you've developed. To give you an idea of what I'm looking for, I love how the shopping cart is integrated seamlessly into these sites: www.hummingbirdessentials.com - www.spacecraftint.com

    Thanks in advance!

    I'm possibly qualified (depending on SSL), but really just trying to help you with a tip.
    ~~~~~~~~~
    1) Find out if your client is sending customers to Paypal's site, or actually doing SSL transactions at your new site.
    2) If you are doing it 'the easy way', don't pay much for the job, lot's of people are very qualified to do it.
    3) If you are setting up SSL transactions, you need more professional help, both for the original set-up, and important security issues.
    Good luck with the project :)
    Thanks. I want the transaction to completely take place on my client's site - not transferred to Paypal's site for the actual purchase. So, I guess I do need to hire a custom programmer to complete the job.
    FYI: I have real experience with osCommerce, and not 'ecommercetemplates', but many of the issues are the same.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    IMO, you can get by fairly cheap if you ask the right questions, for example:
    • "Do you know how to properly re-name the 'admin' section (for security), and make sure the entire script is modified correctly?"
    • Some programs do this much easier than others, but...
    • ...it's real important to have an admin section which is not called 'admin' when a hacker looks at your cart.
    • Also, your database security is vital when doing actual transactions vs. the Paypal easy route.

    I'm no expert, but sometimes I'm able to help. :)

    Edit: You posted this in a section where people interact and give 'free help' :)
    To 'hire someone' you could try posting in the Services section of the Buy, Sell, and Trade sub-forum.
