I tried to search for this topic but found none. Am I the only one who experiences such problems with YSM? I set my campaign targeting to United States only, but I often get traffic from international countries, especially those fraud countries. Although yahoo generates much better cost-conversion-per-click ration comparing to google, the poor geo targeting really turns me off. Do you guys have the same problems?
Is there an old one and a new one? Never heard of it. I signed up with them in Dec 2006, just two months ago. HOw do i know if i'm on the new one or the old one?
Well you would know if your account was on the new system then. Your using Overture, the old system. There's no way to geotarget now. If you want to geotarget you have to get upgraded to the new system, Panama.
No its not like that when he creates the account which market he selected(in overture) it up to that.
We're using Panama now but it will only let me select "US & Canada" for geotargeting - is there any way to target US traffic only?
Yahoo responded to my support ticket asking about targeting US only. Here's what they said.. You can geo-target your campaigns to US only by following these steps: -Log into your account -Click on the Campaigns tab -Click on the Campaign Settings drop down on the top right hand corner and select Geo-Targeting -Switch the setting from Entire Market to Specific Regions -Under Target By select State/Providence/Territory -Select States/Provinces/Territories within the U.S. and Canada -Then de-select all regions in Canada as well as any US state you do not want to target
