Well good thing. Did you try and bargain with them. Obviously they must have not been worth the $250 for you not to buy them. So Kudos.

Considering the guide I put up said for a LLN is about $110 a pop. But if they are brandable or a popular/current fashion trend name is another. I probably would not go more than $150 - $175.

But I do know that many people who have a LLLL.com sell theres anywhere between $20 - $40 if the LLLL is not a pronouncable LLLL . Like eoxn, eoxn, padn etc. And soon all the LLLL will be taken(within the next few months) But of course we are talking about LLN now. And also from my understanding all the LLL are taken as well. But again we are looking at a LLN now. So the average should be like the guide said $110.

Dude.. All the LLLL.coms wont be taken in a few months.. According to the mad blogger there were around 30K available this summer and on January 22th 2007 there were just short of 60K available.. So the trend is that fewer LLLL.coms are being regged..

And yes your understanding is right.. all the LLL.coms have been taken ;) Though the wholesale price of LLN is 130 not 110.. Like the guide says...

Lmao, Rofl, ok last time I checked I am not a dude. But anyways no need to digress.

You may be right about the LLN. I misread the price and quoted the LNN pricing. And many forums and people believe if not all the LLLL domains will be bought out within the year or less.

Sanlands post #6 here at Digital Point about LLLL .
    12/24/06
    Thread about LLLL at DNforums
    r3dbaron post #55
said that 59389 were left as of 10/29/06
    Msl post #59
said there were 54,470 left as of 11/24/06

So since it being 1/30/07. I am sure there are less. Unless you are trying to include soon to be expiring or soon to be dropped names.

At Namepros this same discussion was spoken about and even a contest is going on. The users bid on dates when they think the last LLLL will be taken. All the dates run from like 9/06 till I believe until 12/21/07.

So I am sure the numbers will fluctuate off and on, because of dropped and expiring LLLL names. But there is much speculation it will be pretty much taken up by the end of the year.

Sorry about calling you dude :)..

But seriously.. Try going into archives at namepros and Dn .. This is not the first year people have been saying that all LLLL will be gone soon.. It aint gonna happen trust me..

As said more are being dropped than regged.. So his calculations of 400 days is completely made up..

Yes you are right about some being dropped. I picked up one with a PR1(which retained the PR this google pr update). All which were a CCCC and no V in the LLLL. he he  I know terms. But anyways. He did say generous. So it wasnt a factual Number.

But in either case I do believe the number is far below 60k. Considering the numbers were around 55k in 11/06 and now its 60 days later. I would guesstimate about 50 to 53k as of now.

And indeed its always an interesting topic to discuss just like PR updates. And yes I ran in and have some LLLL.com domains as well as a LNL.us. Just for fun. And yes I am quite dizzy from the excitement of actually having about 3 pronoucable LLLL's, 1 CCCC(C=consonant) and 1 LLNN .coms and one LNL.us

Who knows when this madness will end with the LLLL craze. I know the non pronoucable LLLL's are going for about $20 - $50 a pop. Somtimes a wee bit higher.

But anyways. Sorry to discuss this matter on an Appraisal thread.

Okay I checked over at the madblogger.. He says that in July 2006 there was roughly 30K available LLLL.coms.. This number was 49,818 on January 22th this year..

So why do you think that the number is falling when it has risen with 70% during the last 8 months?

    http://madblogger.com/four-letter-domain-names/

Not at DP.. Have a look at stockposts buys.. He has been buying LLLL.coms all over the place.. But only gives 10$ for them.. If a LLLL.com goes for over 10$ it either has history or is brandable.. The crap ones dont sell at all..

You quoted the LLLL.com's to be at 60k in your post #8. I guessetimated it at 50 - 53k without looking at madbloggers site.

So in less than 60 days about 3 months time, about 10k LLLL.coms have been bought. By that calculation:

    59389 as of 10/29/06
    49818 as of 1/31/07
    ------
9571 sold in the last 3 months

    9571/3 months = 3190 sold

    49818 LLLL.com left/3190 = Avg 15 months

So they should be taken within the next 15 months at the rate they are being bought, sold, dropped and expired.

So really what is your point atm? When it comes down to it. And my point is that they will be taken up soon. Whether or not they are lousy or not.

I would be interested and willing to take this into a PM since this was an appraisal thread.

And if you are speaking of people selling and buying the LLLL.com's at such a ridiculous low price. I just figured they want to get rid of them. Or not knowing the real value of them. That they can fetch a more reasonable price than $10. But I have seen them go for $50. So I dont know why they sell for so low.
