Check this: http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=http://www.dmoz.org It is not cached and has zero backlinks: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=link:http://www.dmoz.org&btnG=Search What do you think? Do you think they are penalized since they are not working. lol
I don't think so...if you try to search dmoz.org http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=dmoz.org&btnG=Google+Search you can see it. I don't know why live pr shows like that.
You tried to look up the links in google wrong... it's http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=link:dmoz.org
When typing for DMOZ always type it without the www. http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=http://dmoz.org/
There is only one category in the dmoz directory that Google refuses to recognize (that I'm aware of) and is a PR0. It's PR0 in Google's version of the directory also. Been this way for quite some time.
Google would not leave dmoz in any manner as Google looked for websites in the begining by indexing Dmoz when Google was started in 1998 So I think there would not be day in future where it would not index Dmoz
Yep. Been like that for awhile. All the subcats too. Watch out for all of the conspiracy theories now.
Try this > http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=http://dmoz.org (but still no cached) I don't think it is banned Is it with www or without?
Google is providing DMOZ in backlinks and DMOZ provide content to google T_T, i don't ever think google will ban DMOZ, they need each other
I always suspected that they are corrupted bastards. Google DO NO EVIL stop using DMOZ database. Create your own. I can be chief editor. ..
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=+site:dmoz.org&btnG=Search http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=dmoz.org it's not banned from google . try to search without www
It would be nice if DMOZ*WERE* banned from Google.... It's impossible to get an editorship and impossible to get added. Talk about corruption and conflict of interest.
I couldn't agree more. DMOZ editors are free to add nearly unlimited pages to the adult section of DMOZ, and someone like me gets banned soon after I mention the problem with multiple listings in DMOZ.
