alexa.com down for 2 days now

    i wanted to install the toolbar again, and trelaized the site has been down for more than 24 hours..

    a site that gets that much traffic shud never be down for more than a few hrs

    Hi,

    You could still use the downloaded file itself, even if you've uninstalled alexa.

    It happened to me once.

    1. Disable your antivirus (and all other detectors).
    2. Shut off your computer, and then turn it on.
    3. Recheck your anti virus configurations, to make sure it's still disabled.
    4. Go to Alexa, and DOWNLOAD it from there. Keep the file.
    5. Then install it, and enjoy.
    6. DO NOT forget to enable your AV.

    It certainly hasn't been down for any length of time - I know, I've been scraping results from them for the past three weeks without problems

    alexa works for me if u are not sure if site is working on not try siteuptime or hyperspin or other services.
