Stumble traffic can be quite high - I have a site where it is consistently about 8% of my traffic. Google is only 27% of my traffic and all other SE's are about 5% - the rest is repeat visitors.

If your site is worthwhile, you will get stumbled, you will get traffic it is as simple as that - if your site is sh*t you'll get a thumbs down! from the stumble crowd.

I believe that you can get good and regular traffic from Stumble upon. But if you want to keep the traffic coming day in, day out, then you will need a sticky site. The more sticky content on it the better.

Yes if you get your site stumbled everyday by others.

I don't think regular traffic from stumbleupon is the norm. Regular traffic can only happen when there are a lot of pages within a site being stumbled. And that in turn takes a large site.

My website is not very popular among stumblers because its a banking related site. I get only 1 or 2 hits per month maximum (extremely low)

The question is, does this traffic convert?

I dont mind it being spikey as long as it converts when it does spike. At the same time, if the traffic isn't converting then even if they sent 10,000 unique a day I wouldn't be impressed because it would just be junk traffic consuming bandwidth.

I have only 2 main pages being stumbled and traffic, while it doesn't convert well (2%) it still converts and I am not going to complain about FREE money/hits

if your site is interesting and updated you will continue to get traffic from SU. If it is a MFA/self updating RSS feed type site, I would be willing to guess the traffic will deteriorate fast.

here is some stats from 1 of my sites:

    so far today:

    Traffic is declining, but:
the same amount of "pages" are being served from the peak
i didn't track if anyone actually BM'd me and are coming in directly

You can put google adsense on your site if the traffic doesn't convert.:)

I've actually recently replaced all advertising with adsense. I have enough affiliate referrals making purchases every month that it doesn't hurt me to remove ads for a while, so I thought I would give google the floor and see what can be done with them. So far I'm making less money with them, but it is increasing so I'll stick with them for a few more months and see what happens.

I'd like to try a stumble experiment. Do they have a referral system of some sort in place? If so, if someone would please give me their link I'll sign up under you.

I've got stable stumble traffic in the ~40/day range on a couple sites, with occasional rare spikes over 1000. It's really hit or miss.

This traffic doesn't convert for alot of sites. But then if this traffic, it is just like any other traffic that you will receive in that you have to work on making it convert, although with this traffic it is a little harder to work with.

I would say that's about right, you get a few days and then it goes down.

Every once in a while i get another bump for a day, which I'm not sure if it's because someone else stumbled me or because stumble upon decided to reboost me?
