What Lap Top should you buy for 1000 $ and why? I have 1000 $ to spend on a LAP TOP what should i buy?
I got mine on ebay: 1.8Ghz AMD Turion 64bit 1GB DDR Ram 80GB HardDrive Wireless yada yada Was looking at around $1600 given the specs for even the cheapest brands Picked it up on ebay for $1200 (I am talking australian dollars by the way, probably cheaper elsewhere for computers) It's an acer, never had any problems with it, good reliable laptop
Here is it : http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/s...me=dv9000z_series&a1=From+price&v1=$800-$1000 And they have more i like there models ... Regards
That is really cheap if you get the Vista with that price? In Thailand they sell out loads of LT now with XP but i guess why now they want to sell it cheap. Should i wait to they include VISTA?
No. Vista will be extremely buggy first release. You'll have to download lots of patches to cover the security holes. Stick with XP for another 6 months Vista is only $150 anyway depending on what version you get
Get one of those tablet PC's, with the turnable screen...you can get some of them for around 900$. They are really cool and pretty handy.
1000$ won't get you a good new laptop. Maybe you should consider adding another 500$ to the budget then you can get a good laptop. The one I was purchasing was around 1500$ HP Forgot the version 2.0 Dual Core I GB DDR2 RAm 120 GB hard drive 256 MB Geforce 7600+ vga card And other stuff, like infrared, ethernet blah blah
I disagree. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Brand-New-Ac...0QQihZ017QQcategoryZ26266QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOSHIBA-LAPT...QQihZ007QQcategoryZ130766QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Note that they are in Australian dollars aswell, not US
I (wholeheartedly) disagree as well. I think you could walk into any retail store and get a good LT for $1K....not to mention that online you can get even more bang for your $. take for instance: Acer Aspire AS5112WLMi AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz / Bluetooth / 802.11b/g Wireless / 2GB DDR2 / 160GB / Dual Layer DVDRW / 15.4' WXGA / Windows XP Pro / Notebook PC
Exactly. Your computers are heaps cheaper than in Australia I might have to check out shipping one over...
I've had nothing but good luck with Dell laptops for long term dependability. The one I'm on now, I've had for over two years, using it every day, always turned on. Keyboard is worn, palm prints on the board, but it still performs great. I put a 7200 rpm 100 gig drive in it and have a 2.5" external 120 gig hooked up to it as well. Upgraded the memory to 1 gig. Never a problem! You can get a good Dell for under a grand.
