Why Do We Have an Introduction Forum?

I am not sure if this has already been discussed, but I could not find any relevant threads with Search.

Why do we have an Introduction Board?

I only know of one other forum that has Introduction Board, and post counts increases are disabled. I've introduced a few members, but I don't ever recall seeing them in particular again while browsing the boards. I don't see how posting an introduction will retain users, and some people are afraid of posting in the Board for getting infractions.

 

Introduce yourself to the world! ...

 

You can't just talk about and say things about yourself in any forum. That's why we have that section. We should be thankful that we can introduce ourselves in this forum.

 

If you have to ask, you'll never know.

Ha- I don't think it is.

Unfortunately, some people take advantage of the Intro's forum.

I like forums that have Introduction sections.

And if the posts stopped counting in that forum, they would just be littered somewhere else.

To tell you the truth i never visited the INTRO forum. But yeah its there so you can introduce your self.
