Here's the scenario: I'm building a new website, and I'm trying to decide on the the best way to monetise it. I could use my existing Adsense account, and (supposedly) pay the UK Taxman the amount I owe. At the moment, I don't have to fill in a tax return, so it's up to me to be honest... However, I'm considering creating a new account in my wife's name, and have all the money going into her bank account instead. She has to fill in a tax return anyway, but doesn't make use of her tax allowance so we probably won't have to pay any tax on that income at all. So, the website, Adsense account, owner's name and bank account will all be different. The only similarity with be the address we live at, and surname. Will Google let us have one account each, or will they think that I'm just trying to get a second account? Secondly, will the British Inland Revenue accept this as being her revenue, even though it's really my website? Obviously I don't want to pay tax on this income if I don't have to, but at least this way the income is being declared somewhere. Let me know your thoughts, Thanks, Cryo.
Can you not just make her a business partner and have her declare the portion of the earnings she receives from the business?
hmmmmmmmmmm ... , good idea but will Google let u do tht ? hope someone who is experienced in this field let u know also ... wats ur site all bout ?
doesnt the name on the account have to be the same as the adsence account name? I dont think you can change it or am I wrong?
I doubt that Google would allow this. In fact if I remember right, I read some time ago (when my account was banned) that it is not allowed. However, if you can register her under different street address and equip her with different PC and IP for managing both the Google account and the web site, then it would work. But, is it worth to do it ? How much you would save from taxes against the eventual possibility to get banned from Google?
I dont think they allow multiple accounts from the same residence. Considering the ease at which they ban people, I wouldn't risk it.
Too risky! .. You might send an 'anonymous' email to Adsense support and see what they say... I would certainly be too chicken to try - but i have a bad case of GoogleBanAphobia...
