I've got my first refferal conversion yesterday. I've earned $.10. Come on! $.10 for convincing a user to intall a product and start using it? One click can earn you more, and it's much easier to get context add click instead of succesfull refferal conversion.
Yeah, but my site is in English. I suspect the user was from some country that does not generate much revenue. Can I check what country are the users who installed Firefox trough my site from?
just the installs from some countries( i don't know exactly which country..) giving $1.00, for the others, the price is $0.1..
It's not possible to see which country the user was from. In all likelyhood it must be a user from Africa or other countries where the referrals pay the minimum amount. The most money can be generated from sites which get most of their traffic from the US. Then you should get payment of around $1.00 per referral. It all depends on where the user comes from.
Im not 100%, but I think US referals pay $1, all other countries only 10c. Bit crappy, but what can ya do? DD
With referral products and ONLY with referral products you are encouraged to actively promote the product. That means you can put something like "Get the best browser on the web - for free!" above a Firefox ad.
Yes, but refferals are CPA not CPC so there is no such thing like fraudulent clicks. Gogle does encourage to click their buttons themself, how would you interpret the text on a button saying "Get FireFox with Google Toolbar"?
I've got 3 conversions from 40 clicks, and got a total of $.30. 80% of my traffic is from US. All this from 50,000 impressions
I did fine. Well, at least much better than with referrals I was just testing it. It's really worthless.
i wonder why the country makes a difference? converting us users versus those from somewhere else? it's a product, it's being downloaded and installed. no one knows how it's going to be used.
