Right. That's so common in directories run by DP members. But many other directory businesses don't have that category and certainly not popular.
I assume "Paid" is paid directories? Yours is rather different I think. Arts & Entertainment isn't that popular in many other general directories IMO.
Besides, "Directories" I have compiled a list below that shows the most popular categories I have seen in the KingBloom Directory. The list starts with the least popular to the most popular. Took a while to gather this info, so hopefully some find it useful! (note, these are TOP level - Sub Categories) If I had to pick one particular extremely popluar listed item/category deeper in the listed of sub-categories, I would say Gift Baskets, really ranks up there. I really don't get that many directories. The most submissions are to business, accommidation, and gifts. I ask for long descriptions which might filter out the directory owners that use informenter and autosubmission/etc.
Do you mean popular categories by those that submit, or ones visited the most by regular visitors? My directory gets more "Regular" visitors, brought to the site by search engines, than it does from people looking to submit. Search engines seem to send more visitors to my Entertainment and Society categories.

Good point and I agree. I think that for free directories the blog section is pretty popular as well.
