Can people give some advice as to whether having domain name with the keyword(s) entered twice will be penalised as being spammy or not? Anyone had any experience with this.. For example... www.MortgagesMortgages.com Thanks in advance.
No you should not be penalized for that, take it this way....Domain names are scarce resource and people have to book which domain are available.
I won't think it will land you into trouble.. It is pretty normal nowadays as less domains are available
some words even sound better, especially the signel syllable ones. Although I personally wouldnt do it.
I would'nt use a domain like that either, it looks very tacky. If anything try adding numbers or an extra letter at the end of the domain. Have a look at this for some examples http://domain-suggestions.domaintools.com/?q=keywords
Some great replies. I'm glad to hear you all feel it will make little or no difference from an SEO point of view. I realise that for branding issues there may be better options, but I think also that in some cases the keywordkeyword.com type name might work well for branding and getting customers to remember the site. KeywordKeyword.com - Twice the keywords, half the price! Taken me a while to reply as i've been busy with other parts of my life. Gonna spend a lot more time learning to master the web over the next few months and I expect plenty of that time will be spent on here. Truely excellent forum.
